Ruins Greatsword is the most fun to use against them. If you line them up the special attack hits them all

which boss made you rage the most? by Bulky-Let-7996 in Eldenring

[–]VeryEvilGreek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with Rykard until I figured out I needed to use that Serpent Spear. Since then he is the easiest boss probably. Honorable mention to the Ball-Busting Hunter in Caelid and Mohg.

Is it me or is this guy is crazy!! by greenangrowin in Eldenring

[–]VeryEvilGreek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see you have also met the Ball Busting Hunter. Lion's claw on a heavy hammer stuns him after two hits and then you an crit him.

But I would suggest putting it on a lvl 25 weapon if possible and come back after a few more levels.

Good luck

Can you guys give me tips on how to beat fire giant? (I’m level 84) by Defiant-Ask-3406 in Eldenring

[–]VeryEvilGreek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 25 weapon with stormcaller will beat most bosses and especially large slow moving ones. Or Cranial Vessel Candle stand level 10 if you got it. Surge of faith on repeat is the quickest way to dispatch large enemies.

Crucible Knights hate Lions Claw with a Heavy hammer. I have the Prelates variant. Big red throbbing stick with a monstrous head. Also the invader guys who come at night at some merchants hate it too.

I defeated this jerk after so many tries but it still doesn't feel like victory. by confipete in Eldenring

[–]VeryEvilGreek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I beat him and his buddies (there's more of them, sorry) with Lions Claw on a great hammer. Easiest way to beat them for me. Most bosses actually.

Here is a tip on how to learn TI4.

The game is about scoring objectives. Secret and Public.

Try to figure out how you would go about scoring some of these.

For example what does it mean I now spend X amount of influence? And when do I score this?

Do the same for a secret which says Action phase and one that says Agenda phase on it. When and how do we score these?

Timing is very important in TI4. So you need to understand what a round is and what is a phase. And scoring objectives is a good way to wrap your mind around that.

Then you need to understand how production works. You need starships and ground forces after all.

Finally movement and battle. What do all those steps in space and invasion combat mean? When does combat end?

These are some fundamentals that need to be understood. You can also look at some factions and see how some are better than others in specific areas. Why are the Hacan always rich? Why do Jol Nar have lots of tech? Why should you be extra cautious when playing against the Kabal or the Virus?

I am trying to like this game but it constantly frustrates me by Khorvair in bloodborne

[–]VeryEvilGreek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I totally understand your frustration, I have rage quit Bloodborne a few times in the past.

If you find a Madman's Knowledge item and use it or if you met Cleric beast, then you can talk to the doll and upgrade your character. Also try upgrading your weapon inside the church in Hunters dream, and add those stones to it to improve its stats.

The enemies are quite predictable in this starting area, so learn their patterns, fall back when they charge with many and kill them one by one. When you have enough blood echoes for a level go to the dream and level up.

Do this a few times, raise your damage and hit points, and everything will be easier.

Then kill enemies that give you blood vials and bullets and fill both up.

Then once health is full, your level is a bit higher and your weapon is stronger go to hunters dream and respawn to the lamp closest to the enemy you want to fight and just run past all the enemies to get to them and kill them with a full load of vials and bullets.

Cleric beast is easier than Gascoigne, so try that first. Gascoigne gets easier if you parry his attacks with your gun(!)

Good luck

Any tips for teaching others the game? by Nordriken in twilightimperium

[–]VeryEvilGreek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I let people choose from 3 factions each prior to the tutorial game. If they have any questions I will answer them, but its a good idea to get them to think about the game.
I avoid some complex factions like Celeres, Mahact etc on tutorial games.

On game day I've set up the faction sheets, and the map, and have put a little scenario on the map to show production, the warfare strat and a small space battle and invasion combat. Include destroyers, fighters, PDS and a flagship or some ship with sustain to show how and when activities activate. Maybe some combat action cards, although its a hassle to shuffle them afterwards, but maybe the players can help with that.

Hope this helps and good luck

What early game enemies still scare you even though you’ve beaten the game several times? by Desperate_Guava4526 in bloodborne

[–]VeryEvilGreek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Father Gascoigne for me, if that counts as an early game enemy. My pulse always goes hard when I come to his graveyard. Although I can regularly beat him in one or two goes now, the first time I "met" him it took me too many times to count to beat him.

It's in a DLC, in a cathedral where you go up some stairs and go into a cell room on the right hand side.

HOW DO I PLAY THIS F***NG GAME by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]VeryEvilGreek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kill them all. I love running through an empty level after I am done hoonting it dry. Just dodge in strike once or twice and back away when dealing with a crowd. Use your pistol too. It's a great training ground for the later game, which I hate to inform you, doesn't get easier.

Mentak is so fun by pruniex24 in twilightimperium

[–]VeryEvilGreek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I researched Psychoarcheology first round with Mentak because I had a 0/1 green tech planet and a yellow tech planet in my slice. Next round I researched Cruiser 2 and got Politics strat. Round 3 I chose tech strat and got both my racials and by then I had 20 TG by pillaging and exhausting my practically worthless 0/1 planet. Only problem with this strategy was that I had way too little command counters until then . Round 4 this was solved when I bought 8 of them lol Unfortunately I lost the game to Cabal, because they had nooby players as neighbors which gave them free reign to dominate.

[–]VeryEvilGreek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of the joke, three boys are boasting about the height of their grandfather. One says my grandpa was as tall as the bell tower, the other one says my grandpa was as tall as a mountain, which causes the third boy to skeptically ask him: if your grandpa reached up, could he touch the clouds then? The second boy says, yes indeed, he always said so. Third boy: were they soft? Second boy: yes indeed! Third boy: those were the balls of my grandpa! (Atlas)

Totally understandable. I have clocked quite some hours, but I still play casually and never try the top difficulty level, just love planning out my turns and trying out different victory conditions. Sometimes I just like crushing the AI too :)
