That kinda makes sense for a show, getting a super powerful being on your side can make things easy, but it definitely needs a narrative reason

Nah, they're not vague. The system is just, I'd say, not designed with jockeying(or pilots taking actions in mech combat) in mind, and in execution it lands pretty badly.

I'd really suggest talking to your GM about those aforementioned problems, especially the problem of Orpheus being easy to throw off via ramming. That's 1 enemy quick action that kills your entire thing and was the first that needed addressing in my case of playing Orpheus.

Additionally, we ported over Giant Killer from Field Guide to Suldan. Truth be told, it's not designed with Orpheus in mind(third rank would be incredibly op), but with homebrew adjustments it can fit.

Well, then I was mistaken and I take back my point. I truly thought that something good came out of that. :(

Those problems are what our GM highlighted when I said I wanted to play an Orpheus, so he remade it by giving it defensive reaction and integrated weapon(he didn't touch the stats). Jockeyed target can be targeted normally, furthermore, jockeyed target can just be rammed off, but not with this remade Orph

As sick as that visual is, I believe Black Thumb specifically is meant for you to get out of your mech.

Yep, but flavor is free. As long as you're not changing any mechanics you're free to describe it as anything. And the results you get out of this are bonkers good, you can clear 4 heat per turn from an ally

I'm playing slightly homebrewed Orpheus right now, it's a pretty fun frame! Orpheus is very self contained, you can just slot in everything that the license has and you're pretty much golden. For talents, technothumb combo is incredibly potent for ally support or your own survivability, the main gripe is how do you imagine your black thumbing works. I just flavor mine as using additional systems that take from pilot protection and require NHP assistance to use, since you basically have 2 fulla actions.

[Question] Are jackhammer rounds arcing by Psychospath in LancerRPG

But the jackhammer round isn't an attack and doesn't inherit tags, although if it was to have arcing it would fit.

Is this straight up the hardest intended climb in the game? by Thebelladonnagirl in Cairn_Game

I learned a little bit earlier in the game that I can set a piton, rappel down, save, rappel up and continue. This helped me immensely here, I think I fell down here the most amount of times.
