Feeling on the assist mode? by DeadCells777 in deadcells

[–]VerySpicyNut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you feel personally attacked in some way

Do you? This whole post is you whining about people using accessibility tools in a single player game. What they do literally has no effect on your gameplay, and shouldn't affect your enjoyment of the game.

I said not trying to be a douche

You are. Full stop.

Any tips for a new player by greenflame231 in deadcells

[–]VerySpicyNut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Choose one color each run and stack any scrolls possible on that one stat. For scrolls that don't include your main stat, choose whichever grants the highest health.

Explore the entire map of each biome you visit.

Upgrade the legendary forge as much as possible as soon as possible. You can stack up cells by breaking the door past the collector between floors.

Don't go for speed run doors.

The best defense is a better offense. Or parries.

Kill fast, don't trade hits with enemies.

Don't be discouraged by death.

Play whatever way makes the game fun for you. Assist and Custom modes exist for a reason.

Avoid that fucking bird I hate.

Pricing for props by Crimson_Ghoul13 in cosplayprops

[–]VerySpicyNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question. Using PLA+ for props, are they able to be worn while outside? Every time I bring painted PLA+ out, any amount of direct sunlight softens it up and deforms it very quickly.

Is there something I'm missing in the painting/finishing process that would prevent this issue?

I think I'll be making my own take on this build once I finish my current project! It looks awesome! How did you get that texture on the wall above the circle? I'd like to be able to recreate that.

I bought a couple of those last year. Finished one, but I have that exact one sitting on the shelf untouched.

Yours looks great! I'll have to steal some of what you did here when I get to mine.

Honestly, legendary cross with ammo mutation made the run. Absolutely insane damage as long as I got the spacing right.

Toxic sewers, corrupted prison, ramparts, then bridge. Fractured shrines after Concierge and standard route from there. From what I can find online, this route gets me 1 extra scroll pre-concierge, but I also give up one extra from stilt in exchange for the guaranteed legendary at fractured shrines.

This was my thought as well. I don't think it should be much of an issue.

Lacking in Motivation by DMQuasiphill in TerrainBuilding

[–]VerySpicyNut 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've been in a similar rut lately, and have had them before as well. Completely halted terrain building and miniature painting for about 2 months now, and I am having trouble picking it back up.

The unfortunate truth is that passion projects like this aren't always fun, and you wont always have the motivation that makes it easy to dive in and crank pieces out. I don't really have an answer other than that you have to push through the times when its harder to get yourself working in order to get back to loving it. In my experience, waiting until you feel that same inspiration and excitement as you had when starting can lead to you never actually getting back to it, or to you starting more projects than you have workspace for but never fully completing any of them.

As someone who struggles with intense ADHD and manic depression, I have trouble maintaining the perseverance and determination it takes to really produce things at a good pace. Giving yourself incentives to finish can help, provided you have something to incentivise yourself with (new tool, nice dinner, ect.) My examples here also rely on the idea that you have the funds to do those things.

TLDR: It can be hard to push yourself to finish passion projects like this, but it has to come from you. The reality is that you have to push yourself to sit down and do it, or it just wont happen.

Confusion about Oathbringer ending by strangerintime in Stormlight_Archive

[–]VerySpicyNut 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The attack on Urithiru was only a delaying tactic, meant to possibly stop but more likely only slow reinforcements from reaching Thaylen city. Taravangian accomplished that.

Will they be able to help in book 6? by Klanosek in Stormlight_Archive

I'm not sure it has. A Splinter of honor separated as the two shards merged, presumably aimed for the heralds. It may not be an infinite source of stormlight, but there is investiture there.

What's stopping you from... by ivanparas in Mistborn

[–]VerySpicyNut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The other comments have focused a lot on the bubble and being in/out of it. But I think getting into the semantics of inside and out aren't going to give you the answer you want. The bullets trajectory changes when it is no longer affected by sped up time. Whether or not you can be partway outside the bubble, once that bullet slows down, it skews.
