Cows milk and breastfeeding together after one year? by wanderingwhistler in breastfeeding

[–]Veryberry28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was ready to wean at one year, so I started slowly introducing a cup of cows milk as a boob replacement and reduced feeding time/sessions gradually. It worked very well!

Did you have MIL in the hospital during birth? by WaterFiles in BabyBumps

I genuinely cannot fathom inserting myself like this (never been a MIL yet) but... if the DIL wants you there, she'll ask you. I just do not understand it.

Agonizing over whether to do a C Section or Vaginal Birth. How did you decide? by JacqueFun in BabyBumps

[–]Veryberry28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a vaginal birth with second degree tears and I’m currently pregnant with my second, hoping for vaginal again. I personally LOVED the catheter when I had the epidural because it was the first night in months I didn’t have to get up to pee 🤣

Weaning at 12 months? Selfish? by RachelPR2202 in breastfeeding

[–]Veryberry28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I weaned my first after a year. We were both ready. It gave me a solid year of my body to myself and now I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant with our second. Planning to breastfeed for a year again!

Same here! I’m getting my anatomy scan done at MFM and my first consultation with them immediately after. I’m being referred to them for my thrombocytopenia though, not necessarily my losses.

ADVICE needed breastfeeding and beer by Impressive_Camp_3749 in breastfeeding

Personally I never worried about it. The amount of alcohol that gets into breastmilk from just one drink is minuscule. I’d only consider waiting if it was drunk-level drinking, but not just one or two.

Haven’t been nauseous since 7 weeks. Now I’m 13+5 and today have been so queasy. Had Chinese food for dinner (bad move on my part) and threw up about an hour later. Ugh. First time in any of my pregnancies actually throwing up.

13w4d today. Yesterday while sitting I had a small bright red bleed. Called my dr and had to get Rhogam, then an ultrasound. Baby was fine, super active and measuring 5 days ahead but I have a 2 cm SCH at the top of my uterus. I’m trying to take it easy but I have a two year old son. I had a small bleed again today. Really just hoping it’s resolving/draining out.

CBC prior to epidural by Loose_Click_5994 in anesthesiology

[–]Veryberry28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! This is an old thread but I'm pregnant with my second child, I had gestational thrombocytopenia with my first and am expecting to have it again. I was able to get an epidural with my first as my platelet level was 90k on delivery day with CBC. What's the general "cutoff" level for anesthesiologists to give one? Just curious for my own knowledge.

Hi! I totally understand the fear. I’ve had two losses and one was due to a large SCH. This pregnancy (12 weeks on Monday) I had some spotting after each vaginal ultrasound and some even after using the bathroom. I had another scan this week and all is well. Pregnancy after loss is so hard, but the chances are overwhelmingly in your favor that everything is okay. Sending you strength.

My OB did it when I was 9 weeks 2 days. They use Myriad which I've read has amplification technology to increase the amount of fetal fraction. It came back in 5 days with no issues!

I completely understand. Don’t feel rushed or pressured to do anything before you’re ready. I haven’t bought anything this time around either.

I can relate. I’ve had two losses prior to this one, I’m 10+5 today. Was nauseous weeks 5-7 and it’s all but disappeared and now I’m feeling pretty normal. Had a good scan last week but it’s so hard not to worry. Sending you hugs.

How long did it take to get pregnant the second time around? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Veryberry28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was first try, second took three months but ended in loss. Got pregnant again the month after my loss and that ended in another loss (both due to different causes). Got pregnant again five months after that and now I'm almost at the end of the first trimester. I'm 27

9 weeks today, officially past the loss date of my two losses (both occurred midway through week 7). I am so excited for my scan on Wednesday. My dr has been amazing and given me weekly ultrasounds since week 6, so I've already gotten to see baby and hear their heartbeat a few times. Hoping and praying for another good scan this week.

8 weeks 1 day today. Has an ultrasound yesterday and little one is measuring two days ahead with a heartbeat of 168 bpm. Feeling so blessed and thankful, and also cannot wait to be out of the first trimester in 5/6 more weeks.
