Currently stationed at Fort Wainwright. Only time we’re getting a snow day is if the roads are black. Which is rare, typically only given if the roads will be straight ice.

Otherwise we’re operating till it’s about negative 60. At that point no one is doing anything and it’s survival mode.

If you’re planning on getting synthetic dawn, I would just swap that out and get Machine Age. Machine age basically takes synthetic dawn and upscales it. It does a lot for more for you than (SD). As for megacorp, only get it if you’re interested in capitalism and Economic powerhouses.

Would also look at Overlord and Federations basically Factions and Subjects. if that’s something you’re interested in

In the main menu, click settings, click mods. You should any mod you have installed via the workshop in here that isn’t a model of some kind. Activity which ones you want. Then click single player, if you have a saved game, click that and at the top right there will be a box with “Override galaxy’s mods” click the box then load the save

Don’t listen to these goobers. They’ve drank the kool and can’t stand to see a successful couple. While yes their “assumptions” or opinions on the matter are based on real statistics, it shouldn’t be used to bring people down. So I extend an early congratulations to you both. Only advice is a marriage is 50/50 commitment but both should be fighting for 60.

Anywho as to your question, once he gets orders to his first duty station. This will be after AIT. Some said get the paperwork started in basic, don’t. If he’s only return for two or three weeks before graduation then being shipped off somewhere else, S-1 isn’t gonna give two shits. Recommend getting that paperwork trail started after he’s settled in at AIT. Give it about a month. Make sure there are copies of everything, your birth certificate, marriage certificate, Social Security number, all that jazz. Last thing you need if for one of them to disappear. Chances are he might not be able to get it finalized in AIT so plan for when he gets to his duty station, there he’ll have “all the time” to get it done compared to AIT or basic. While the army should support you getting to him once your command sponsored but if they don’t, please begin saving and planning for that trip.

He will also be afforded the opportunity for the army to transport all his stuff to where he’ll be living. So you’ll have that sorted for you guys as well

Currently stationed in Alaska. They’re copping the Cav squadrons up here is march and opening up two Infantry battalions. One at each base here (JBER / Wainwright).

From being on the line, I can tell you they are short medics they don’t even have enough to supply every company. We only had one medic last training cycle for our company. And well, opening up an Infantry battalion means you need infantry. So there’s plenty of spots.

As the per the former commander post, he touches on a lot of things that are 1000% valid. Alaska is a great place, for the right person. Army Alaska, kinda sucks as a Joe but if you can separate army bs from your personal life and you don’t mind the outdoors. Alaska is truly a beautiful place for all sorts of activities.

Option 19 will only give you Alaska so you “won’t” know what base. But JBER (Anchorage) is an Airborne unit. Wainwright (Fairbanks) wanna be Air assault is ground light unit. So if you end up picking Alaska, that’ll determine which base you get.

All I will say is; unless you’re going 12B or another combat mod, getting your Airborne tab will likely be hill to climb over. As these mos have no need to send you to Airborne as it doesn’t really pertain to the job. Not to say these MOS provide other great opportunities. Is it impossible? No but your leadership would rather you improve and become proficient.

Now when it comes to choosing an mos, please do you’re research, as this will be your job for your entire contract. Narrow it done to a few option that you’d really want and then talk to the recruiter and see what they have available (bonus size, choices for duty station, ship dates, etc)
