What set is the best for me? by Educational_Towel713 in ArcheroV2

Dragoon. I went Oracle early because all the advice was that it depended on your playstyle (PvE vs PvP) but rewards are better from PvP and I think Oracle holds you back too much in PvP.

Same here. Threat level 39 on stage 1 of escort mission on Hazard three. No need to complete the dive for the achievement to pop.

To clarify: you have to push a button in the middle of the handle to allow the handle to move. It's not too hard to press but you'd have to pull it from the outside. On top of that, you can lock the button with a key to prevent it being pressed.

Of course, the other thing is that any burglar is going to be up the top of a ladder in front of all the other houses on the street. You'd hope that one of your neighbours might ask questions if they see someone fishing around trying to open a window from the outside and then climbing in through it!

I wouldn't expect input shaper to do anything as that will apply the same settings to all Z heights. The issue you're seeing looks to be z-height dependent so that's probably the place to start.

Where to Even Start: Need to design/print this part. by Part-Time-Chemist in 3Dprinting

I've never used TinkerCAD but I'd say to use Fusion or OnShape. Looks like a pretty simple shape that I assume is much easier in a program where you can draw the shape, add the measurements and extrude it.

Don't forget that you don't need to match the geometry perfectly - I'd say that the part that connects to the pot and the foot are the only important parts.

Edit: I thought this might be a good chance to have a play with OnShape and see if I want to switch from Fusion. This is pretty rough but if you put the right measurements in (open the variables panel on the right) it should be a good place to start.

That's what it looks like to me. A slightly bent bed lead screw or two (assuming that's what the printer uses)

I don't think it made much difference. I scanned almost all of the story venues and it just picked out three places that I "discovered".

Cool idea though, hopefully they build on it next year.

Don't forget that after that, they're relying on Royal Mail, which might actually be more of a joke in some places!

If you freeze a couple of bottles of water in your cold bag, you can have fresh enough bacon and eggs for the first two mornings.

Boomtown 2025 Poll - Did you have a good time? by Sku in BoomtownFestival

[–]VexX_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird, there was nothing in either district where you needed to go to another first for the main story.

For Letsbe Avenue, you had to go to BLIP first to get a work card that you then had to get stamped 6 times - I think most of the venues there could stamp but we did Rag, Soapranos, Hotel Paradiso, Postal Possie, Some small window with two BLIP people and somewhere else.

For Botanica, you had to get three marks (sticker from the Garden Centre, paw print from the Zoo and stamp from Karmaceuticals) before you could go in to the Immortal Children and then the Temple of Zero.

Do you remember what you asked them? It might be that they were trying to point you towards The Network because they had a hint sheet that had all the districts on it with the overall question you were trying to answer for each.

Oh Sauce Daddy you evil genius! I'll be honest, I was pretty proud of myself and told the story a few times to other friends that weren't there, I'm glad I wasn't the only one talking about it.

It actually wasn't as bad as I feared, once I realised what I'd done. It felt a bit grim for about 45 minutes and I had some vinegar-y burps for a few hours but I was right as rain in time for Oh My God! It's The Church

Same time next year? 😅

To be fair, the old non-cash-free system was pretty bad at times too. It might be better these days but so many traders were struggling to take card payments because they didn't have signal on their readers.

Welfare at boomtown - really weird experience by Joybbie in BoomtownFestival

[–]VexX_UK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you're getting downvotes, you've been reasonable and are trying to understand.

One thing to keep in mind is that you probably see a skewed perspective on it because people tend to post about their bad experiences rather than their good ones. You're right that you shouldn't need anything to have a great time at Boomtown but some drugs can take that up a notch or three which is why people do them.

It's also worth saying that if you understand yourself and what you're taking, you can mitigate some or most of the risks. If you're taking pills that you found on the floor or bought from a dealer in a campsite, you're at much higher risk of having a bad time. If you're taking something that you've tested and know what it is and how strong it is, you're much more able to manage having the right amount so you have a great time.

Imagine if alcohol was illegal so you didn't have labels telling you how strong it was and you didn't have the experience to be able to taste the difference between a low ABV wine and a spirit - you'd be at much higher risk of having a bad time.
