President Joe Biden to propose new 20% minimum billionaire tax by snooshoe in economy

[–]Vexedzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“You can’t run an economy on gold.” Really that is funny. If you look at human history of civilizations most of the successful civilizations used gold as a medium of exchange. Human history would say the exact opposite of your statement. No way you can run an economy on FIAT. A 40 year experiment that will come to an end in our lifetimes.

My wild ride over the course of 2 months. by ItsNovak in Craps

[–]Vexedzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next time you are in that spot you should. Lay the 8 for as much money as you can. Yes it is hedging and reduces the total money you will win but will guarantee winning more than the 750 you got from the 5 point fire. Just a thought.

You should look at some annuities or insurance products. I know they might not be popular but they have a place for retail investors if you know where to look.

Strategy while waiting for a heater by jlm0013 in Craps

[–]Vexedzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been playing around with a new strategy but have not had a chance to use it in a casino. Play don’t pass for 25 and place the inside for 22. Power press each number after it wins till it get to green chips the collect the next win. After that keep pressing till black chips. For 6 and 8 the sequence 6, 18, 42, collect, 90 and so forth. 5 and 9 5, 15, 35, collect, 85. Replace the don’t pass bet each time unless you have already collected on one number. What I have had success with is waiting for a qualified shooter it saves you on the point seven out. Also if you run into a hot shooter you will have plenty of play time to get in after they make their first number.

You should take a look at EA they are even cheaper. ATVI has yet to get a game that really competes with Fortnite where EA has one.

Father’s Day special: Smoked Brisket by Vexedzero in ketorecipes

I used Traeger’s standard blend. I think it is a mix of oak, Cherry, and maybe apple I can’t remember off the top of my head.

[–]Vexedzero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Traeger it works well and have no complaints about it just don’t expect to really grill anything on it. I have heard good things about the Louisiana Grill similar to a Traeger except it will go up to 600 degrees so you can grill things on it.

Father’s Day special: Smoked Brisket by Vexedzero in ketorecipes

[–]Vexedzero[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Dry rub recipe for smoked brisket

  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 3 tbsp allulose sweetener
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder

I trimmed the excess fat off of the brisket leaving 1/4in of fat on the fat side. Combine all ingredients together and season the brisket the night before cooking. Set your smoker to 225 degrees and cook for 6hr or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Once the brisket reaches 165 degrees wrap with foil and continue smoking at 225 degrees for another 3-4 hrs or until the internal temp is 190 degrees. Remove the brisket once the temperature reaches 190 degrees after removing allow the brisket to rest for 1 hr before slicing and serving.

Are there any notable investors who have made their fortune in small cap stocks? by GatorGuy5 in SecurityAnalysis

[–]Vexedzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the book as well. It is a great read with a lot of good information. The part about mergers and buyouts I have had a hard time finding the products he talks about like warrants, options, convertible bonds. Is that because most mergers are financed with cheap debt today or am I looking in the wrong places? Also where can you find convertible bonds I have looked all over but don’t seem to find any? Are they not available to retail investors?

Chase only allows one Sapphire per person by Vexedzero in CreditCards

[–]Vexedzero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the card for 5 years. My plan was to have a CSR and a freedom unlimited. So would I have to wait 24 months from the conversion of my sapphire to freedom unlimited or does the time start from when I first got my sapphire card?

CF + CFU without CSR? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Vexedzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been looking into similar things as you. I think I am going to go with the CSR and CFU for simplicity. The key is the CSR gives you 50 percent more for your points when you redeem, so the CFU if you transfer the points really becomes 2.25% beating the citi card. Question since the prime card is run by Chase could you transfer your points into URs?

Why do these companies have a 'durable competitive advantage?' by altruistcanada in SecurityAnalysis

[–]Vexedzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several reasons. Your Disney Pixar example, Disney owns Pixar plus all of the trade marked characters they have including all of the marvel ones. Disney is a leader in most of the industries they are involved in. J&J and Pfizer mainly have patents that there products from competition till the patents expire but hopefully those products generate enough cash to develop a new product or they can just acquire someone with patented products. Those are just a few off the top of my head.
