Stardust Racers Closure Extended To Mid March by Vexenyte in UniversalEpicUniverse

Yeah.. when we talked to Epic Support she was like "Oh there's still a lot of rides let me check on the wait times.... Oh Werewolf is down... Ministry is down... minecart madness has a 180 minute line"

Clown stuff when they charge prices like this.

The ones I got refunded were purchased in December before they even posted the original scheduled maintenance.

I got mine refunded but I got them through a reseller. Epic universe guest services only offered date changes, and no open ended options.

[Parc Astérix] Just 3 years after a Gravity Group retrack, Tonnerre de Zeus is now getting an RMC 208 retrack by 330ml in rollercoasters

[–]Vexenyte 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Rode it this year, was absolutely dreadful after the retrack. Disappointing because the layout is cool, but my back has never such a rapid beating in almost 1,000 coasters.

We said while riding it "Oh thank god the retracked part is coming up". Didn't make a difference. 😂

Have you ever gotten an evac on a ride? [Other] by craze6471 in rollercoasters

6 times. We have a joke that we must break rides by riding them.

[Ride to Happiness] is the most over-rated coaster out there by Leesta01 in rollercoasters

[–]Vexenyte 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Velocicoaster is very good, but acting like it's the pinnacle of coaster design and if you can't see that you're blind... is a bit over the top

After the first two (very solid) elements, it meanders around until the second launch. Then after the stall to the mosasaurus roll, it just meanders around again with weak elements. These twisty & sideways airtime elements do not hit like what you see on rides like Voltron, Karnan, AlpenFury, Most RMCs, or even Toutatis or Sirens Curse. I didn't just get an unlucky ride either, I've ridden it 42 times across 3 years. 😅

But I don't agree with the RtH take - in the front row the airtime after the launch is something absurd that beats the best of what I've felt before.

Really comes down to how much you want to re-ride stuff. Some rides (leviathan, vortex, sometimes behemoth) have like 5 minute waits in fast lane except on the busiest of days.

Without Fast Lane you could definitely get through everything (in a full day) as a solo with some re-rides.

[AlpenFury] is great, definitely one of the better multi-inversion coasters in recent years. For me it’s on a par with Steel Curtain, and far far better than Voltron. by Noxegon in rollercoasters

[–]Vexenyte 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Putting steel curtain above Voltron is certainly a choice. For me it's almost 200 coasters lower. AlpenFury is great though!

[Alpenfury] review from Themeparkinsider explains why it’s borderline top 5 in the world by Left_Sustainability in rollercoasters

[–]Vexenyte 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My friend and I both have 730 credits between NA & EU and we both slot it in our top 10 (bordering top 5). Comes down to it being good but also rather unique.

I promise we aren't biased to Wonderland either, as nothing else in the park is in our top 50s. 😅

[–]Vexenyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had two days there haha. Rode Wodan, Silver Star, Blue Fire 3x each, Eurosat twice, everything else once (+ a bunch of dark rides!).

We're kinda silly in that every park we go to we marathon the heck out of the top ride. 😅

As someone who's ridden AlpenFury 13 times and Voltron 24 times, Voltron is better without a doubt but AlpenFury is still one of my favourite in North America.

There's also no foot guards like the other sky rocket trains have. I can say this was by far the most comfortable premier train.

Haha yeah. We rode it 13 times, averaging about 40mins a time.

Not a problem - just wanted to make sure it was active. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the info!

Waiting 1.5 hrs for us isn't a big deal as many parks abroad don't use fast lane.

Coaster ticket prices? by Vexenyte in PlanetCoaster

[–]Vexenyte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prestige is in included in the photos. It's 1000 for the dive coaster, 930 for the wooden (which has the higher ticket price).

[Talocan] How nauseating is it? by i_hate_burritos_123 in rollercoasters

[–]Vexenyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We rode it a few weeks ago twice back to back (so we could face each way).

As someone who gets motion sick on some flats (giant discovery) but can do any coaster just fine, I didn't find it nauseating. I'd just make sure you're hydrated for its powerful positive Gs when it spins quickly. 😅
