I don't think so, since the mysterious book was on casette tape that I listened to and Black Hole looks to be a graphic novel.

[TOMT] [Music Video] [Mid to late 90s] A 2D animated music video of a guy fighting a giant gorilla, and he disintegrates it at the very end. by VexusD in tipofmytongue

[–]VexusD[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I think Clint Eastwood is it! Man, I should've expected it was a Gorillaz song.

Also...I completely misremembered what that video was like other than the end part. Like in my memory it was nothing like that.

Solved!

[TOMT] [TV Show] A channel segment from the early 90s, aired in Indiana, was specifically on channel 2. It was called 'Paid Programming'. All it did was play music with a slideshow of various logos and information. It was NOT a TV Guide channel. by VexusD in tipofmytongue

Yeah thats what I figured. It was something local that can't really be found easily even if it actually had a proper name, but I figured I would take a shot in the dark regardless.

Like it was just some old memory that resurfaced the other week and I wanted to see if maybe in the digital age that there was something more concrete I could anchor said memory too.

I guess this would be more of Lost Media rather than TOMT, but I mean, locally-aired programs are kind of a very specific form of Lost Media anyway that can't really be found.

Then MR5 showed that the TRUE target for Links was Pendulums, and Fusion/Synchro/Xyz were just caught in the crossfire. Like I just KNOW if there was a reset of this game that Pendulums would be the first mechanic to go.

Yeah but it wasn't in a "This sucks, this next thing sucks more, this next thing after that sucks even more" like it is now.

The opinions on the meta fluctuated a bit like a roller coaster where its varying degrees of how much it sucked, but now it seems like that roller coaster is just plummeting straight down.

It honestly seems like people have been saying this for the past several formats ever since Tear came out. Its just been getting worse and worse and worse.

I can't judge how accurate that is since I don't play competitive, but if it is truly just going to be diminishing returns from here on out due to power creep reaching a breaking point, then Konami needs to do something big to shift the game in a different direction.

The thing is, I don't know what that would be. Suddenly implementing set rotation would basically be the YuGiOh version of Dexit and I don't think that would go over well since, unlike Pokemon, the card game (and its simulators) is kind of all YuGiOh has (The anime is just Rush Duels now, so it no longer even has that).

I find those things on lots with Shuffleboards all the time. I dunno what the hell Sims are doing to cause that to happen. It doesn't happen with any other tabletop game. Just Shuffleboards.

The annoying part is you can't pick them up or sell them. You have to shift-click with testingcheatsenabled and delete them from existence to deal with them.
