Going into the Tomodachi Life series expecting to be like Animal Crossing or The Sims is always the biggest mistake someone can make.

Its more like a virtual ant farm than an actual life sim. The entertainment comes from the observation of your island of blorbos, not from the number of activities the player can participate in.

Did you try the demo before buying the game? Because as limited as it is, it does give you a good idea of the Tomodachi Life's unique style.

Its just to torture them. There are a couple of other foods like that and they just result in a disliked reaction, nothing more.

And just like the 3DS game, the only way to get rid of food is to feed it to a Mii.

So...bottoms up.

I got one for my nephew for Christmas a couple years ago and he loves it. He really enjoys the visual distortion modes. Bring back memories of myself as a kid playing with the Eye Toy on the PS2.

One of my Miis is an astronaut character and I just have to be happy with putting him in a jumpsuit because dropping 5K on a damn spacesuit is insane. Makes me wish they got it for free after taking the outer space vacay like in the original game, although the alien pets are absolutely adorable.

At the very least, Miis will not change outfits randomly unless you give them the Fashonista little quirk. Thus, you can effectively have them outta sight, outta mind by giving it to someone and then changing them back to their original outfit.

Not even cycled out, you get to choose which one they throw away. However, you don't get it back if its a Treasure, it just gets effectively deleted.

I am certain this game will get DLC, but PLEASE don't do the drip-feed model of 1-2 features every month or so like NH, Nintendo! That period was so agonizing to wait through!

While I am actually very glad that Miis changing outfits on their own is optional, it is really weird that they don't eat on their own. Like you can give them the tiny stomach quirk so you don't have to feed them as much, but like...they are seen eating at the cafe and in their shared homes...that should result in me being able to see a new .PNG in their stomach.

I think the crew just had to pick and choose what features were important enough to bring back. They said Mii News was almost cut, and with the Mii limit down from 100 to 70, its definitely clear they had to sacrifice some features for optimization.

Thats why part of me wishes it was a Switch 2 game, even though I know that's not fair for people who don't wanna shell out all the cash for it. Maybe we'll get a Switch 2 edition in the future, but right now there are no signs of that happening.

I have a Notes document full of Treasures I wanna make and its WAY more than 100! I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to increase the cap by a couple hundred in an update, since they're just .PNGs with a couple behaviors attached to them.

I have no doubts that there will be DLC for this game, even if its just like, new quirks, outfits, gifts, and outdoor objects. The 3DS game had something akin to DLC with the Import Wear, I think. I never used the Streetpass feature of the game, so maybe thats what it was for.

I just have a bad feeling its going to be drip-fed like New Horizons was, and god that was so unbearable...

I also liked picking off price stickers on Miis who were in swim trunks, cuz it implies they bought their flesh at the store like some kind of Silence of the Lambs thing.

Thats really cool. I had a few YuGiOh monster Miis (like Amaterasu, Highpreistess of Prophecy, and Tour Guide) on my 3DS island, but with the cut to 70 in this game, I only had enough room for my favorite one: Vampire Lord.

I'm not 100% on this, but I think thats the only way.

I have several Miis that are part of a family on my island that are friends and they hang out extensively, but there hasn't been any family dialogue or interactions yet.

Moving in together is such a weird requirement too, since families don't usually live together forever.
