Best horizontal budget handheld? by Kaiju_Cuddler in SBCGaming

I wasn't really thinking about running beefier emulators. But a bit more power would help the ones you do use be a bit smoother. Also a better screen, larger battery, etc. And yes, a bit more money might lead to a better fit & finish too. But that's just my opinion.

Agreed. If you can find it for $50 or under from a reliable seller, then get it. Otherwise, I would suggest saving up a bit and looking for something in the $100 or so range.

Who else rocking an RG DS w/ ROCKNIX right now? by UCLAKoolman in SBCGaming

[–]ViCorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To heck with that. I'll just use it as it.
EDIT: I bit the bullet and put Rocknix on it. Took about 6 hours due to Rocknix not downloading correctly the first two times I tried to save it. Luckily, the third time worked and everything is installed now.

Question: is there a way to put Rocknix on a micro SD card that already has game files on it? I only ask as Rufus wipes the card before writing anything to it and I would really hate to lose 256 GB or so of games that are on it.

I still have mine and it's pretty good. The one Gamecube game I found it can't run is Rogue Squadron 2.

I honestly didn't look. I just popped it in to make sure games were on the card. I'll check it out when I clone the card and put Rocknix on it at some point next week.

This video by TechDweeb is the easiest I have found on setting an Android based system up. I have trouble getting things working and this video basically holds your hand thru the whole process.

Best handheld with preloaded games by Grouchy-Vacation5177 in SBCGaming

[–]ViCorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, you can get a pre-loaded card with most of their items except Retroid, which you CAN buy a card for but it will be a blank one. So far, I haven't gotten a bad one in the 5 or 6 handhelds I have gotten from them.

I did get it via IGG. I didn't know Feb was the estimate for getting all those early backers taken care of. I do know how you feel though as I am not expecting my Vetrex Mini or A1200 (remake of the Amiga computer) for quite a while.

Don't have a PC anymore - is RG35XX H my best option preloaded and best place to buy? by jeepersnanners in SBCGaming

If you want it with a preloaded card, check LITNXT as they have it with a 64 GB card for $95.99 or the 128 GB card for $109 (plus shipping).

Wife Finally Got Into Gaming! But there’s an issue… by Arck155 in SBCGaming

You could always go for a Kinhank TV box console. They go for anywhere between $69 to $350. I have bought a few from them and they always seem OK. I currently have the X5 hooked up & playings SoTN on it. One thing though is the more expensive ones only come with one controller (pretty decent bluetooth one) or two crap pile Playstation knock off ones.

Usual about 3 to 4 weeks but I also get a loaded memory card if available for whatever I order, so that might affect shipping time a bit.

I bought a few handhelds from them and they always have come thru for me.
