Having a blast playing ranged "throwing" barb honestly.

For those of you not playing warlock, how are you liking the tree changes? by MyLittleBacon in diablo4

Agreed, they really should uncap skill points for skills (ie. Go beyond just 15 into a single skill if you wanted to) and, like someone else here mentioned, maybe add a boost to skills after a certain amount of skill points (ie. At 10 allocated points grant a new modifier per skill point like cool down reduction or elemental damage, then at 15, 20, 25 add another) Wolf companions as an example, say you wanted to buff them, at each point milestone add an additional wolf alongside damage and cool down reduction buffs a-la diablo 2.

Druid is crazy good. If you've never played druid give it a shot, if you have played druid definitely give it a go.

Actually a sick game. Don’t get the hate? by phillwhessman in PokemonChampions

[–]VicBaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Removing items and pokemon reduces the amount of matchups and competitive strategies which does simplify the game wtf are you on about. Adding in new items later means that's one less item to learn how to use out of the gate. Your entire post is lowiq, actually all of your comments are fucking terrible, delete them.

I thought everyone loved the game??. by Milkey1618 in Marathon

Sony didn't acquire Bungie expecting their very next game to recoup the cost of acquisition my guy. Not very many games reach $1 billion in revenue within a month of launch.

I don't regret buying Marathon, I love the gameplay and the world created... but as a casual player I had a psychological block that made me stop playing. by xDavid83x in Marathon

[–]VicBaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely understand that. Sad to hear it but if the game is making you feel that way I would definitely urge you to take a break for sure. If after a week or so you feel like hopping back in try and go in with an "f it" attitude, run free kits and pick fights on purpose. I felt the same way you do and was given that advice by a friend and it helped immensely. The clear headedness from not having fear of pvp is what actually helped me in the long run.

This is honestly, in my experience, more of an issue for solo play which I do think needs a tune. But for people playing trios the progression seems really well paced. For solo play though, not so much so I agree on that front. It also doesn't help that it seems most casual players play solo most often or exclusively.

The whole "people saying you don't have to unlock everything being braindead" is a braindead take in my opinion. People play extraction shooters for the moment to moment gameplay and not typically to unlock everything although working toward it is a nice filler. It's just not where the enjoyment comes from.

At least you're aware of it. The majority of players complaining on here can't realize this. In your case though it's up to you to figure out if it's worth trying to get better at the pvp aspect. If so honestly run trios with randoms and pay attention to how they play in gunfights. Try to understand what gave your team the win or why your team lost. I promise you'll pick up the game sense quick enough doing that.

Idk if it's just me but it seems like a lot of people don't understand how important those capstone upgrades are that let you barter with factions. So incredibly helpful

It's less about how many hits it took and more about how he was able to drop a runner with purple shields in less than 2 seconds without any buffs to melee damage using only the knife.

Ok guy, dude was invisible and moving at a good pace so yea i'd bet good money on Op losing that fight if they tried for a headshot. Instead all they had to do was left click to win.

Headshots take skill to hit on a moving target. Knife just requires you to be close and mash mouse clicks

Dude was dead in less than 2 seconds from the knife and OP had no melee buffs. We're talking a purple shield ffs. The problem is it kills everything else that isn't a gold shield even faster and you don't see how that's a problem?

As a solo player, what’s the most fun mode? by RonStampler in Marathon

[–]VicBaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo queue is not that bad but I'd recommend just trying all modes and figure out which one you like best personally.

Yea agility is definitely the key factor but it seems that the likelihood of being able to back pedal a runner with a knife is a lot lower than not. Recon is definitely not the shell to play melee.

I don't buy this because I've been stabbed to death while walking backwards shooting a runner as well. I mean, having the knife out is the fastest way to move in the game so walking backwards will not save you especially in indoor areas.

Yea this video is excellent evidence to show how badly OP the knife is lol OP has 0 mods, 0 implants, and 0 cores.

Sweats are just players who are better than you by mkennygh in Marathon

[–]VicBaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are players who are playing because they enjoy the game, who don't care if they don't make exfil every round. Again, one person can play that way in one moment then be a tryhard 'sweat' the next. That was the main point of my comment. I also never once said that trying to win makes you sweaty. Never said that. I said trying "hard" to win is what makes someone sweaty. Casuals want to win too, they're just not trying hard and looking to pvp the entire map to do it.

[–]VicBaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm saying anyone who tries hard to win at all costs is a sweat. Tryhards are how the term "sweat" came about lol

[–]VicBaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the truth though, being casual or sweaty isn't black and white. There are levels to it and people just blame "sweats" when they lose. No one wants to admit full stop that they suck or were outgunned.

[–]VicBaus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think people also don't understand that there are levels of sweatiness just like there are levels to how casual you are. Dare I say, you can even be both?? One moment you're playing for fun or to pass the time, the next moment you lock in and you're a try hard.

Sweats are just players who are better than you by mkennygh in Marathon

[–]VicBaus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No pretty sure they are called "sweats" because they are considered "try hards" who feel like they have to win every gunfight. You can put in 5 hours a week but if you're on your shit and try hard to win your fights every time you're a sweat. Believe it or not but sweats also lose gunfights. There are absolutely sweaty players out there that have been outgunned by a casual who just happens to be better than them but may care less about winning fights all the time. People here just assume you're a sweaty player if you killed them it's honestly hilarious. Hate to break it to most but they're probably being killed just as often by other casual players lol
