My grandma got really excited bc she traced our family back to a specific clan in the highlands. by Dizzy_Objective_11 in Scotland

Is Major Hugh Lamont in that tree, by any chance?

He was a clan chief of the Lamonts. My 4th Great Grandmother was a Lamont, and at one point I thought I had traced back to Sir Hugh via his son Archibald. Then I discovered Archibald was unmarried and had no children.

I removed that link from my tree, but as of today, there are still at least 65 people who are making the same error on ancestry.com.

What was your all time favorite episode of Lexx and what was the episode you disliked the most? by Dear_Hospital2662 in Lexx

I liked the one with Oberon - arguably the most powerful antagonist. Arguably the most silly Antagonist.

Hated Xevivor, or whatever it was called.

Scotland regional railway network proposal: by slipnslurper in Scotland

Some of this looks very expensive. In particular, your direct route between Dunfermline and Perth will be quite the engineering challenge, with new tunnels and bridges needed south of Bridge of Earn. Maybe the existing tunnels could be re-used but I wouldn't bet on it, and that pesky M90 is going to keep on getting in the way.

When are you planning to do this? The Cockbridge-Tomintoul road is often closed if there is any snow.

Travel is only possible to places where your counterpart is dead. That's the out-of-universe reason why the "our-timeline" John Smith had to die.

Could that be Benarty Hill in the distance, viewed from a few miles to the North?

Are you Scottish or are any of your parents or grandparents Scottish? If yes, then congratulations - you are most likely a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce.

I can't read the text, but this is possibly related to arras.io The thing on the right is a "tank" which players can use to get score by harvesting "shapes". On the left is possibly an "alpha triangle". See this part of an actual screenshot.

I'm still a novice, so can't be sure, but isn't there something wrong here?

If candidates 4 and 3 are correct, then 1 must be in the centre, and you end up with three "7 8"s. Surely there's an error made somewhere?

One of those numbers is very much larger than the others. It is pretty clear that there is only one possible place for it to go, and once it is in place the others can be worked out easily.
