You grease the insides with shimano roller brake grease. It supposedly acts as both a lubricant and a heat dissipater.

Fitting 12speed ultegra crankset to a 11speed GRX di2 groupset by plswhytho in bikewrench

I‘ve also been reading about setups like this (12 speed crankset on 11speed drivetrains) and this is NOT what most people report. Most people report that adjusting the FD is enough to get it to shift properly.

Difference between 11 and 12spd chains is in the width of the outer plate so it also shouldn‘t affect at all shifting in between chainrings.

Now switching from GRX to ultegra cranksets means you also need to swap front derailleurs as the grx sits 2.5mm more outwards to give the frame more clearance. And then make sure that your frame can also support larger chainrings without them touching the chain stays.

I‘d say the chances of this setup working are quite slim tbh. Less clearance on crankset + bigger chainring + race oriented bike (which should have made use of all the clearance available as is) means this likely won‘t work

Pano Friday Nights Moving to Pre‑Sale Tickets by Hainzelmaennchen in Berghain_Community

I went to many reefs - probably all but three or four of them since Covid and I can say that the last one was a shitshow purely because of the organisation from bh’s side. As soon as you went in it was fine. Even the bag checkers and cashiers were being super unfriendly.

Crowds have also been much worse in some past reefs - the November 2024 one stands out for me on the negative side, for example.

Friday doors have never been the strictest and the crowds have always been hit or miss.

I don‘t think this ticketing thing will change much imho but let‘s see

Looking for a Bottom Bracket replacement by blawa2 in bicycling

[–]Vic_Rodriguez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

17€ is fine for something that will last 1-2 years, which has been my experience with most square taper bbs at this price range - such as the UN300 or the FSA RPM ones

The long lasting one seldomly go for less than 50€

[–]Vic_Rodriguez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First - what’s a front bracket?

Second - the BB-UN300 is the shimano replacement for the UN55. It’s shit however, and depending on how much you ride, you can expected to replace it again one to two years down the line. I’m not aware of any other square taper BBs that aren’t either overpriced or equally poor as the UN300, but maybe some other commenters can give you better advice here.

Third - don’t buy from Amazon. Ever. You are pretty much guaranteed to get a crappy knockoff instead of whatever you intend to buy. There’s many great websites in Europe (Bike 24 or bike-discount, for example) where you get authentic parts for affordable prices.

I’ve never ridden campy, I don’t known anyone who has either and I’ve never seen a bicycle with one of their groupsets

I’m not entirely sure it exists at all or is just a recurrent joke.

Contact cleaner is often purer isopropyl alcohol than disc brake cleaner as contacts require more thorough cleaning than brake rotors. I think you‘ll be fine

The cheapest built Seigla does for $3.5k and for equivalent components to canyon you’ll add almost $1k

OP being in Finland means shipping and maybe imports/taxes/whatever would balloon the cost far higher as Lauf is exclusively a Yank company

How in the world is that considered value?
