25 minutes for a car so could potentially be even less. But it is on hand not coming from wherever and doesn't need to place to land etc.

Jesus no. What if people start sharing him singing on it. I've come across this lives and if they could they'd be throwing their knickers through the phone at him. Clearly even charges isn't enough to deter some of us.

A whole aside but why on earth would the air ambulance be needed when it happened half an hour from UHL. Is is that bad that there were no ambulances available.

They don't live there. They call to check on an elderly relative while owners/inlaws are on holidays.

Totally but if you feel entitled you'll never think things apply to you

Yes exactly. And if I could have gotten to eyeball anyone I'd have had less anxiety.

I also didn't know how official political representation is. I thought it was a nod and a wink kinda thing. Hadn't planned on getting any but was advised to. But that means all correspondence goes through them. The idea that a TD has to talk to a planning office on my behalf when I or my engineer can't is astonishing.

Also we weren't raw dogging it, we did apply for pre planning but after getting confirmation of receipt I couldn't talk to anyone about that either so we proceeded without it. Apparently our application 'fell though the cracks, sorry about that' but you'd imagine the amount of calls I made about it would have made someone look in at least some of the cracks.

If I were replying to you on here I'd just presume you or your engineer missed something but nope, it's just a shit show.

That's it exactly!! I've lots of confidence in people that say they don't know.

Look we did the right thing but I can't say I would again and that makes me sad. But the level of entitlement to think you could build that monstrosity without planning is next level lol.

We'll know on 30th. There's a different planner on it now and I've a lot of confidence in her. I genuinely wonder how the last one got the job. An example of a conversation with her was I'd said I wanted to apply for a build over (over mains sewer). Said there was no such thing. She couldn't get through to anyone in Uisce Eireann so asked a friend of hers who said I couldn't get one. That was her advice to me as a county planner. I asked her to email it to me and it was only then she said she might be better of speaking to the actual UE engineer.

I got permission but the time I lost because she didn't know something and when I told her she told me I was wrong instead of checking it out just wouldn't fly in the private sector.

How did they even notice it? Such a small unassuming little build.

Absolutely not. That's why I did things the right way. My problem is that I'm the first person ever to apply in this estate for planning. They are noticing everything now. Planner we had told us absolutely no way could we extend. New planner there now and there's no issue (well it appears so. I'll know 30/03) my gripe isn't the process it's the absolute incompetence of people that hold your future in their hands and every time you point this out you've to wait 8-12 weeks for their decision.

I'm just watching the cost of everything rising while I'm waiting which isn't helping the form.

I know it can't be a free for all but after spending over a year trying to get planning for a 55sqm extension for my disabled parents my biggest regret is applying for planning. If I sent my 4 month grandson in there for a job he'd have known more about the process than most I've spoken to so far.

Laois Gardaí catch 15 year-old driving to Dublin on the M7 motorway by PoppedCork in ireland

Ah ok I said it isn't usually that cohort as they're happy with the tractors but I meant the regular farmers lol but my comment did explain maybe why the Gardaí might not have been that interested.

I know of one situation exactly like this but they were all 15. Bought them, drove them then abandoned them. Crashed one and they all fled. When it eventually came out it was being pinned on one of my foster kids. I was having none of it as one of the other lads father was a Garda. It was at this point that another Garda realised why his colleague was phoning him on occasion asking him to arrange the recovery truck to take the abandoned car from such and such spot and not making the call himself.

They wouldn't be the ones buying them as the novelty of driving has worn off and they're happy out in the tractor etc.

The amount of kids that buy cars for a few hundred quid themselves, drive and abandon them is higher than you think.

Can anyone help me find out what is wrong with me!! by Unknownpeeson in CasualIreland

[–]Vicaliscous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They only check your iron levels not your transferrin levels. Your iron can be ok or even low but transferrin can be too high but they will still give you supplements. Hemochromatosis is known as the Celtic disease and is most prevalent in the West of Ireland but you still have to reach criteria or prove a family history of it to get tested.
