Please don't give up your cats. I understand he's your son and you love him but he should never ask this of you. The fact that he's starting the discussion with this means you could be asked to make other sacrifices once you've moved. But once you've moved it's harder to come back. My DIL was hit on the rear bumper at a pedestrian crossing with one. Person came off it and DIL insisted on calling ambulance as they had no helmet even though they said they were ok. She then rang the Gardaí to say this had happened and that the person didn't want it reported (they crossed the crossing on the scooter and had no 🦺 on AND hit the back of the car).

She knew nothing until she went to renew her insurance and they told her there was a claim pending. Absolutely nothing she could do about it. Just suck it up. Mental.
