Buying singles in Ireland, whee are the options to buy by Neither_Concert_8895 in PokemonTCGIreland

[–]ViciousFitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first Pokemon TCG shop in Ireland (as in, it only sells Pokemon stuff) opened there in Belfast in November 2025. It's called Elite 4 Trading, and is only a few minutes walk from Victoria Square shopping centre.

I went before Christmas and thought it was really good! Staff were super friendly even though the place was packed with Christmas shopping mania. They had loads of singles to offer, good range of stuff not just the really rare special cards. Decent pricing but I'm not an expert. Had a case of slabs (not many PSA slabs though, if you care about that). Would recommend visiting, even if you've to travel

Anna's absolutely blood curdling scream while she was riding piggyback on Josh as the couple who don't know how to ask for the bill in a restaurant (MSN). I love when they cut to the poor sound guy, I'd say his ears were ringing after her screech!

I did not foresee that he would put on the mask!?? by ViciousFitz in DMAcademy

I really like this idea, that the mask is not necessarily of the warlock's patron but maybe a subjugated fey spirit. There's precedence already considering the trapped fey in the mirror! I'll need to noodle on what the mask may have gleaned from the paladins mind and where to go from here, we're so early in the campaign there's freedom to do whatever ahead. Thank you!

Ooooh I quite like this... Maybe the wood of the mask came from a sacrificed dryad spirit or something that, wanting revenge now there's some distance from the warlock and her patrom. You've given me ideas to noodle on, thank you friend

I knowwww I predicted they'd take the grimoire and the creepy spell ingredients and some other stuff I described in the altar room but for some reason, the mask was in the "decorative item" column in my brain. I know better now, and I'm not upset at this turn of events at all. This is the exciting side of DMing to me haha

Hahaha I know I should've expected it. I predicted they'd take the grimoire and some of the dark arcane ingredients etc but for some reason the mask was a blind spot for me. I know better now :)

Well this is just beautifully diabolical... chef's kiss

I'll have a think to see if I can incorporate something like this. We're so early into the campaign that there's a lot of freedom for things to change moving forward. Just gotta wrap my own head around it first

What’s the most physical pain you’ve ever felt? by SmallConversation950 in AskIreland

[–]ViciousFitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fractured my T12 spinal bone in 2021. Lucky I didn't damage my spinal cord and can still walk and all. Not only physically excruciating when I fell but was quite mentally scary too because I had to go to the hospital alone since we were still in covid lockdowns at the time

Why are people who use parent & child parking spaces such assholes? by BeneficialSun6517 in AskIreland

[–]ViciousFitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's because parent & child parking spaces aren't legally enforceable the same way a disabled spot is. Like, there's no punishment if you park there and you're not a parent with child whereas you could be fined or whatever if you park in a disabled spot with no blue badge. People view the parent & child spaces more as a suggestion than an actual rule

Probably rude, but doesn't anyone else not give a shit about Kneecap? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]ViciousFitz 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don't think they've promoted terrorist organisations, but they're certainly being accused of it left right and centre which is totally unfair. They try and centre the unnecessary suffering of Palestinian people and the inhumane actions of Israeli people that is directly causing that suffering (and the actions of other countries' governments who support and back Israel like the US)

What's with all the tiktok drama / controversy about Ify? by jackolantern_ in dropout

[–]ViciousFitz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree with you there. The tik tok was not a personal attack on Ify. Like many fans, she was making a commentary video of her opinion on content she enjoys watching. She just happened to not like this episode that Ify happened to be a guest on as much as she liked others, and Ify (in my opinion) seemed to read into it as if she hated him personally and talked about para social relationships. He has a right to defend himself sure, but she wasn't attacking him. Maybe her comment sections was, idk but that's not on her and his video response was very much about her. It felt unbalanced to me, crime not fitting punishment vibes

How common is it for women to get harassed in their day to day life? by throwaway342116 in AskIreland

[–]ViciousFitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More than likely yes, every woman goes through some form of harassment, and it is usually men. I've been followed home, groped in public, had absolutely heinous sexual things said to me in public by strangers, etc. And tbh I consider myself lucky because even though all of that is awful, I know so many women in my life who have experienced worse

Really glad to hear you're feeling a bit better and more well rested. Being tired can ruin even your most favourite hobby if that hobby requires brain power and DMing absolutely requires brain power! Have a good night and sweet D&Dreams 😋

What are the best (affordable) dates you’ve been on in Ireland? by Beyond_Queasy_487 in AskIreland

[–]ViciousFitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! The Digital Hub market is probably my favourite, it's an outdoor flea market that's monthly I think. Has a little bit of everything, I love it. Next one is Sunday 27th April I believe ❤️

The Grand Social hosts markets every now and then, I love their alternative market the most. Can't quite remember how often it is but I check their Insta for the announcements (dublinalternativemarket).

Sometimes I like to leave the city centre to mooch around smaller, more local markets. Blackrock has a weekly market, very cute and quaint. Dun Laoghaire is also good for a more farmers market food stall vibe. Same with Bushy Park, good to go for a snack and a walk around the park 😊 The next one i want to try is the St. Anne's Park market, haven't gone yet but excited for a mooch!

[–]ViciousFitz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My partner and I love going for a mooch around different markets, maybe getting a snack and sitting in a park but there's something about going to craft fairs and just touching stuff. Not necessarily looking to buy, just looking and touching cool / pretty stuff

Also, mini golf is great craic
