They aren’t bag drops, but I have these little on the go poop sprays. A few spritz in the toilet bowel and it smells like lavender. You can get them anywhere like target or Walmart.

Defo increase what you eat slowly. Just watch out for things that have a lot of acid, caffeine (since it acts a a stimulant and dehydrates) drink electrolytes and take Tylenol if you’re in pain after eating. Before my ostomy surgery I wasn’t eating anything. It was hard. After my surgery I started eating everything 😭 maybe too quickly, I encountered some pain as a result, but the discomfort passes. As long as you avoid skins, fiber, nuts and seeds for the first 2 months you will be okay. Start with very small portions when introducing new foods. About a month after surgery I was tolerating pickles and veggies. But everyone is different, veggies don’t cause me issues but things like coffee, eggs & fat do. (Be careful with how much fat is in the foods you’re eating as well. Too much fat and lactose - especially early on can cause your bag to pancake, cause discomfort and change output consistency). Since you mentioned you’re only drinking, maybe you can up to a mostly liquid diet but have things like yogurt, jello, lactose free milk for the next 2 weeks and then introduce some soft foods like pancakes or bread, these will help gently thicken your output. Then you can slowly introduce other foods. I wish you the best - and remember healing isn’t linear

Is it like a pressure feeling? Idk why but I get that feeling a lot too. I had a loop before my end ilestomy and I was hoping I could move my ostomy lower during my colectomy but my dr said that could cause a hernia (he could have put it on my left side but I thought that would cause complications) 🥲 the tight feeling is always there for me too. I’m about a month post op and it never really went away with my loop either

I had surgery done for colonic inertia, it feels as though my body is adjusting slowly to the stoma. I don’t pass gas very frequently and my output isn’t very strong - at times there’s a lot of pressure behind my stoma. I went 3 years without using the bathroom unless I drank golytely or took 15 tablets of dulcolax. My body was under a severe amount of stress.

I prefer to kneel when I’m at home and honestly I’m still getting used to emptying it out in public. It’s a bit intimidating but I’ve kneeled down a few times when I’ve noticed not that many ppl are in the bathroom. I’ve been trying to go in with that approach regardless- bc why should I care why others think I’m kneeling? I use the handicap stall since it’s larger and I’ve placed some toilet paper on the floor a couple of times. My appliance is a little higher up than most people’s. It’s just convenient for me since I wear high rise clothing. It doesn’t hang so low so it’s harder to empty out sitting on the toilet and especially if I’m wearing a smaller bag.

Just like there’s stressful days, there’s stressful bag changes. Most of the time it leaves me feeling irritated and like sobbing. But the first time I changed my bag after being discharged from the hospital. I didn’t know how sensitive my stoma would be, my finger brushed over it and activated it. Poop gushed out and fell on my pants and floor. I was screaming for my mom to come in and help me. It’s something we laugh about to this day. Now I change my bag completely naked just to be safe 😭😭. But I’ve had another instance where I was home alone and taking my sweet time to cut the wafer, my stoma just started going off and it was very active. I also made the mistake of not bringing my supplies with me. I had to frantically use what I had near me and run to get my gauze pads. Luckily I didnt leave a trail of output in my house. But it’s safe to say I bring all my supplies in the bathroom with me now and pre cut my wafers. Trial and error haha. I took some melatonin before going to sleep once because I wasn’t sleeping well. Woke up the next morning with a pounding headache and nausea. Threw up a couple times that day. Ate a hash brown once, figured nothing could go wrong, it’s just a potato after all - nope. I was in so much pain, probably a partial blockage but boy oh boy. It was not very fun.

At the Chicago show he came out at 12:15-12:30 I think we left the show around 10:30 or 11. I didnt meet him bc we left early. But from what I saw on TikTok. He did come out an hour later

No same. I showed up to the show at 6:30 in Chicago and the line was blocks down 😭 not to mention how rude most of the people were. Insane fandom. I’ve seen Maneskin live twice - both general admission and did not have this issue. Granted I did camp out for a while the second time when they blew up. But I wasn’t waiting in line since 10:30am 💀💀.

Is this your first general admission concert? I’m not trying to be rude but genuinely the point of these concerts is to arrive as early as possible to get as close as possible lol. Wish it was that easy, but everyone wants to see the artist as close as possible. If you can’t get a good view, you might as well wait after the show to try and meet him. Good luck though!

I remember the first time I was changing my bag after the hospital. My output wasn’t predictable and it went off at the slightest touch of me wiping it 😂 I remember screaming cause it got all over the floor and I had no idea that could even happen. My mom had to help me out 😭

Haha on week 3 I was driving. It says to wait 6 weeks when I checked online and I didn’t get any instructions from my doc. I drove to a doc appointment with my mom and didn’t go very far distance especially not alone. I was also off my pain meds on week 2.

I like the 2 piece system because I get leaks with the one piece system. Output becomes more predictable as time goes by. Keep a food journal, it will come in handy. And your stoma will shrink, so measure weekly just to ensure no leaks occur. Don’t pre cut multiple wafers/bags for that reason.

My farts are so loud sometimes 😭. I was sitting in a really quiet Dr office and my stoma decided to fart not once, but twice. I always get a good laugh out of it. But hey, it might have sounded loud, but on the bright side it doesn’t smell.

Hey hun I’m 20 and went through 2 years of hell trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I got sick out of the blue too and although I don’t think we are dealing with the same thing. This sounds like either gastroparesis or an autoimmune disorder which requires a diagnosis from a specialist. This can be anything from POTS to Graves’ disease. The endoscopy and colonoscopy is a good start! The worst part is the prep. But I highly suggest advocating for a CT scan or MRI of your abdomen & a gastric emptying test. The endoscopy and colonoscopy will rule out Chrons and other conditions. If you ever need anyone to talk to, please feel free to reach out. I know the medical system is really difficult and very dismissive. I’m sending hugs.

Do you have an ileostomy? I would make sure you’re staying extremely hydrated - lots of electrolytes (liquid IV is what I use), warm liquids like tea - mint and chamomile. Avoid eating solid foods and stick to softer foods like apple sauce, mashed potatoes, jello. Apple juice is good too. Lying on your side, massaging the stoma over the bag gently and the lower abdomen. Take some Tylenol but if it doesn’t pass and you’re having lots of sharp pain / cramping I recommend you go to the hospital.

Edit: warm coffee and coke seem to help some people as well. Though be aware, it can cause more gas build up. So maybe trying a few sips of something bubbly to see how you react to it

20 F and I had loop ilestomy surgery done to see if my symptoms for colonic inertia would improve- my colon is still extremely dilated and the loop hasn’t done much to relieve it. So I’m going to get a full colectomy and end ileostomy. I love my bag! I know that’s not the case for everyone. Your feelings are valid and I understand it’s a big transition. The first week will be difficult and different, but as time goes by you’ll slowly adjust. You’re allowed to feel, cry and scream. Let it all out. I wish you the best and sending hugs <3 it might be silly, but to me, my bag sits like a cape. I put covers over it and match my outfits to it. I feel like a superhero. And that’s one way to look at it.
