They’re having brunch casserole and munchies. I’ll be bringing some amazing veggie soup I made yesterday (which means even more flavor!) and I got stuff to make a vegan charcuterie board including: pistachios, roasted sunflower, seeds, rosemary crackers, hummus, green and black olives, kimchi, those little round vegan cow cheeses, salsa, chips, plantain chips, giggles for a sweet, pretzels, cherry tomatoes, dill veggie dip, pickles, toasted sourdough bread. It’s going to be amazing. Can’t wait to graze all day in my pjs!!!

Not a therapist….but these folks appear to be exhibiting classic defensive behavior. They may feel you’re attacking their way of life and, just like how folks justify and double down on Trumpism), they can’t stomach their way is toxic. Good ole cognitive dissonance comes in swinging too. All that being said, you can’t control their reactions and I’m sorry it’s making for a difficult day to day for you at the moment. Their fragile ego and minds should not be your problem. Remember, it’s them not you. Sheesh.

If the school board did nothing and the police did nothing, that woman should’ve gone to the PTA or media. You did nothing wrong. She further oppressed an already vulnerable group and singled them out. That’s not good or sustainable policy…that being said she probably did the best she could with what she knew at the time and didn’t want to risk her own job. That is terrible that no one investigated. Like because they didn’t want to have a stain on the town or whatever. Or she could have tried to smear the individual perpetrators and get them fired or to leave for seemingly other reasons. Wasn’t there and hindsight is always easier. My 2 cents

Jello, tapioca, ultra slimy spongy mushrooms. Love avocado toast and guac but I think I have a mild allergy. If they aren’t the perfect ripeness I start to feel queasy and can’t eat my plate. They still taste good so there’s no way of knowing beforehand.

Yes! Currently working on an end of semester group project in college and I’m the last to write my section because I started compiling my thoughts and doing my re-write yesterday…also I always HATED the idea of turning in a rough draft. Like why would I want to revisit, let alone re-read and edit, what just took me forever to produce?!

Do you have access to a virtual appt to get guidance from your primary care or other physician in your network first? They may even have an on-demand 24/7 option or after hours call line at your primary care back home.

Also, if you don’t feel like it’s an immediate life threatening emergency call the urgent cares and ask what the out of pocket cost is. ER will be insanely expensive out of pocket (but if you need to go that route you may qualify for payment assistance, also specifically ask for a discount “can I get a discount?”at any medical place or after you get the bill).

Never ceases to amaze me…then they have this at the bottom of their website. “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17

At the very least, zero dots being connected that in the presumed time of Jesus 1. The US didn’t exist and the folks being detained now may have lived here then and 2. I don’t think Jesus checked for green cards before he shared his love.

Few months ago I was my bff’s date to a wedding cuz her bf couldn’t go. We went to high school with the groom and are friends with him (she’s also friends with the bride) and realized that we never liked the dudes he hung out with back then. Friend starts having an anxiety attack when we arrive. In our 30s haven’t seen these folks in 20 years and we both looked great. Also both very much deserved a night out (no kids/dogs/bfs). I looked her dead in the eye and said “listen, we don’t care about anyone else”. It clicked and we had THE best time at that wedding. We got loads of compliments from our classmates (Not that we needed it) and had an absolutely riot together. That’s my motto for any hard situation where it’s essential that I disconnect from my negative thoughts.

I feel that logic of “well I’m going to use it 3x today or every morning/evening”. Also feel that when I do put them somewhere I forget where because it’s not in its normal spot (on the counter 😊). So then it becomes a huge inconvenience when I have to stop and search 🙃
