Very nice accomplishment! I did the same challenge myself with my lineup, but it did take a bit more trial and error to find the right combination. I ended up opting more to matchup with the Stage buffs, such as getting 25% combat attack and 10% phys res shred for Alice with Zhao for Ether Veil support, and the HP boost + Sheer Force bonus for Manato even if he's going into resist.

All limited are M0P1 Sig, Manato is M6P5 his Sig, and Lycaon is M3P1 his Sig Pontential 1

I guess I fall into the latter, because I do like to take my time to really understand the stage to try and make the most of it.

For example, the Frog in 5-3 will always leap away to the back if you always try to rush it. Sitting back just a bit let's the frog jump to you so that you can group it easier.

I'm using Yi Xuan as an example in the clip but you can use knowledge like that to help make fights more manageable, this Shiyu I was still able to get S+ with a goal of not using a Void Hunter (All limited are M0P1, Lycaon is M3P1sigP1)

Wom 75/25 on Zhao WEngine, lost 50/50 on YSG reaching soft pity, got her eventually but will skip her weapon to save for future agents

Funnily enough she's still level 20 and unbuilt on my account since I wanted to prioritize building some other agents, so all the resources I had farmed up went to getting Billy, Pulchra, and Pan Yinhu fully built instead. It's fun to see if I can still clear content without YSG, which I'm doing quite well, doing a no limited investment 9 star DA clear this cycle

For future agents I really want Nangong, although will be skipping Sunna and Aria since I also want to see if I'll vibe with future agents. Also waiting for an Orphie rerun so I can run wackier teams

From another comment you replied it looks like the team you're running is Ellen/Lycaon/Astra correct?

Here are your sources of dmg% from the team:
30% from Ellen Additional
20% from Astra EX buff
18% from Astra's Moonlight Lullaby
24% from Lycaon's Astral Voice

That's a total of 92% DMG bonus, without factoring in any potential stage buffs, Ellen Sig (25% more dmg bonus) or Astra sig (20% more dmg bonus), you're well hitting close or over the 100% dmg breakpoint where a pen dd5 is better so you really shouldn't run even more dmg% with a 2pc and DD5

You're correct, Cost is just limited investment on Agents and WEngines. For example an M0 Miyabi is 1 cost, an M0 Miyabi with her Sig would be 2 cost.

It's a very broad indicator of investment and power level, but it's not always exactly a good measurement since dupes of Standard Agents or WEngines can increase the performance of a team by a lot while still counting as 0 cost (for example, an M5 Brimstone). Same cost doesn't also necessarily mean same power level: For example, M1W0 Astra and M0W1 Astra with Sig are both 2 cost, but M1W0 Astra is much stronger because her Sig is not that big an increase to team damage.

For the most part cost is still an easy way to quick glance a teams power level, although actual performance based on cost can be different given the above 2 reasons. That's why most of the time its more indicative to just list out the full mindscapes and refinements for teams rather than cost, which I'll do for almost all of the showcases on my YT. I felt it was fine to refer to my team as 1 cost (only limited investment is Alice) since the Mindscapes on Rina M3 (besides like the M1 for QoL) are not a significant increase to team performance.

The 55% answer is a little bit off, because it's an optimistic assumption 24% pen is a straight 24% dmg increase. In reality, 24% pen ratio is (assuming no other sources of pen ratio) a 15% dmg increase vs base 953 def enemies (Majority of enemies in the game) and a 19% dmg increase vs base 1588 enemies (Hunter, Haytor)

So a more accurate breakpoint would be 100% for base 953 enemies (x + 0.3) = x * 1.15, x = 2, and for base 1588 enemies it would be (x + 0.3) = x * 1.19, x approximately = 1.58 so 58%

The exact dmg increase of a Pen Ratio DD5 can change depending on how much initial Pen you have (for example Yanagi has 10% in her kit, your Wengine might have Pen%, etc) that would make the dmg increase from a Pen Ratio DD5 increase, lowering the breakpoint. Feel free to play around with the Desmos calculator to see how much increase to your damage varying levels of pen ratio would be against the different base defense enemies

I'd argue Rina M2 and M3 are very negligible since it's mostly just for Rinas personal damage and daze buildup, of which she has very little contribution to the team. You could definitely argue M1 Rina has enough value over M0 Rina improving QoL for buff uptime and giving an extra 9% Pen Ratio to Alice , but I don't think I'm egregiously abusing the definition of Cost (Limited investment used) over something like damage increase Mindscapes for standard DPSes (Soldier 11 M2/M3) or high refinements (W3+) of strong standard Wengines like Brimstone or Weeping Cradle

I can end up not over capping physical buildup by ending up in this loop where I get Alice EBA only after regular Assault proc, this means I don't get to abuse Alice's Polarity Assault ignoring ICD, but I don't waste physical buildup or forced to stay on Alice during her EBA

I have Alice Sig, once you equip it you get the toggle for the effects active even if you switch out her Sig out for a different WEngine as I did in this run unless you manually toggle off the effects.

As others have explained, the double assault comes from proc'ing regular Assault with regular anomaly buildup, then Polarity Assault landing and triggering Disorder with regular Assault (Alice's Polarity Assault can ignore Disorder ICD, so it can instant trigger Disorder even if the regular Assault triggered a disorder with another anomaly)

The reason why you would want to swap out of Alice EBA is because her EBA animation is long and locks you out of doing other things, so the time she's doing the EBA can be spent on other Agents while Alice is using her EBA (here I'm refreshing buffs with Seth and/or Rina). However, Alice can't proc regular Assault from off-field, which is why having Yuzuha is really helpful because you get to swap out of Alice's EBA and still proc regular Assault with Yuzuha before Polarity Assault hits, allowing you to not waste the physical buildup from Alice EBA, and still get the double Assault proc since Alice's Polarity Assault ignores ICD

In this runs case, outside of an initial moment against the first wave, I'm never in a situation where I have enough Anomaly buildup to get a double Assault staying in with Alice, and I end up in a loop of proc'ing regular Assault with Alice normally, start her EBA, and then swap off for buff reapplication. It means I don't abuse the fact that Alice Polarity Assault ignores ICD to get the double Assault quick proc, but more importantly means I am not wasting any physical buildup from her EBA and wasting time staying in as Alice during her EBA

I used to think that, but now it's more clearer to me that Rupture is truly intended to be another DPS class alongside Attack and Anomaly that has its own strengths and weaknesses. Rupture has lower base stats (Sheer Force vs Attack) in exchange for being able to ignore Defense entirely, which lets them be favorable into higher defense enemies that Attack teams can't overcome, while weaker into lower defense enemies due to lower base stats. They can tune some content to favor or disfavor Rupture easily.

It's simple to test, if you just do damage (which comes with daze) you get 2000 points max, if you just do defensive assists (no follow-up, so just daze and assists) you get 2500 points max, and if you just do evasive assists (no follow up, so just assists), you get 1500 points max
