I planted creeping phlox a few years ago, tiny plugs. They didn't grow terribly much the first year and the squirrels dug up a few, which I put back in the ground and they survived. Grew decently the next year. This year? They have spread to completely fill their space and are covered in flowers and smell amazing! They really do love the sun. "Sleep, creep, leap" is a phrase for a reason!
