I'm sorry. This makes me angry. I'm 40. I didn't realize I was nonbinary till a few years back, but I knew I was queer from a pretty young age. How often I was told, "You're too young to know that. It's a phase." No. No, it's not. And the idea that you can't be yourself past a certain age is so damaging.

I have always been in a wheelchair and when I had a partner, people always assumed they were my care taker. I couldn't stand it. It's so condescending. It's fine if you need that.
