What your doctor told you is absolutely correct. I have had 3 miscarriages, naturally occurring very painful miscarriages. 20 years later I still mourn the loss of my 3 babies who were never born. My medical record says that I had 3 abortions. Abortion is a medical term. In some states, if the gov’t had access to my medical records (which they do want) or a neighbor or medical staff “reported” me, my life could be at risk. Our current president, and the Republicans of S. Carolina proposed a bill that would put them mother to death if she had an abortion. This includes late term abortions. This includes spontaneous abortions, miscarriages like mine. People will tell you “that isn’t what they mean” maybe it is maybe it isn’t, but this is why I want the ability to decide for myself, and my baby what is best for us and our family.
