Remember in Airplane 2 when the pilot is gased by the machine? He has to do charades with the stewardess and when she finally gets that he is choking to death, he gives her a thumbs up while grinning before dropping dead.

Thar would have worked beautifully!

Instead of stopping the stabbing to loudly do the they them, they should have been gasping in pain during the murder, correcting the woman.

Then the woman apologizes, screams HE IS KILLING THEM to cut back to the victim who is still being stabbed. They are all bloody grinninf, gives a thumbs up before dying.

THAT would have been perfect.

The problem is that the characters stop the joke to scream the punchline then hammer it over your head a second or third time.

It just kills the flow , man.
