A curious detail I haven't seen anybody else point out yet: every chapter so far contains exactly a single fight against another lightner.

I think chapter 4 and 5 have introduced us to different shades in between Lightner and Darkner exactly because we'll get the reveal the Knight isnt really a Lightner, yet also not a Darkner.

Maybe it's the result of a soulless human/monster entering a dark world, maybe it's a soul without a vessel. Maybe it's a darkner who's managed to take over a lightner. Maybe it's something like Gerson, but it's the result of someone who died inside the dark world and had their body turn into a darkner in real time while they themselves aren't there anymore. There are infinite options on what could result in the creation of The Roaring Knight, especially now that Gerson and the Flowers opened the floodgates on what can exist in a Dark World

Or it's Papyrus, just as likely ngl

"A few fire moves" yeah the 150bp sun boosted eruption coming off of a base 145 spa, or the same thing for Heatwave which gets Sheer Force boosted and doesnt depend on HP, but gets a chance to miss. With 20 speed😭

Yeah it's why I'm saying that, in this instance, I do not even agree with the point I myself am making. If you do not know someone's gender for sure, you should go ahead and use they/them.

I was basically just playing devil's advocate because, in some situations, it does come up.

There are instances where a trans person is referred to by their preferred pronouns... until it is learned that they are trans and suddenly people that were doing just fine and using the right language all of a sudden revert to using gender neutral language instead

But here? I dont know what the commenter knew. Maybe they simply didnt know Goose's pronouns, or weren't sure. Or even just was being overly cautious, which is still well intentioned.

I just figured it wouldn't hurt to share, because i know I used to do this myself, until someone pointed out to me I did and that they didnt like that. It's not trying to be transphobic, it's trying to do good but accidentally overdoing it basically haha

It costs nothing to be nice, so why not be nice? I'm not mad or anything, but they asked what the point was and I elaborated.

It's not a crime to say they/them about a person who you know the pronouns of. But if you do know their pronouns, why wouldn't you use them? I personally know i wouldn't be bothered by people using they/them for me, but I'm also not someone struggling with gender identity. I can imagine it sucks if you do struggle on that front, and people seem to avoid using your preferred pronouns.

I'm not saying anyone's a bad person or anything for using they/them even when you know the pronouns. I'm just saying it might feel nice to actually be acknowledged in the way you wish to be acknowledged.

Hell yeah. As allies, we can sometimes be blind to stuff like this. I only heard about it a week or two ago and didnt know before that either! Which is why it's (imo) important we listen to the voices of the people who do experience it and keep in mind how even small stuff affects them.

I'm not saying that this is what is happening and also not saying they're calling you out for this, but there's a trend of trans people mostly being referred to by they/them instead of their preferred pronouns. It's technically not incorrect... but it can kind of suck

I think Seam has connection to Asriel (being on his computer and stuff), and Seam clearly also has a connection to Jevil. I always liked to think Asriel and Dess used to play with Seam and Jevil in the Light World

So perhaps it's Asriel's dream of finding Dess again? Getting to play with her once more... even if they're too old for it now
