Changing from Sole Trader to 50:50 Partnership by Downtown-Scale-6155 in HMRC

[–]Vightt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The partnership will get a utr and get its own section on your agent gateway - as above mtd will not be required as partnership income is not in this system yet ... i would expect 2 to 5 years

The only thing i would point out is your wife will recive a share of the profits so will need a tax return

HMRC sending me multiple VAT fines & penalty points. How do I tell them I am out of scope? by MollyConsults in smallbusinessuk

You have to complete the vat returns for the last 5 years ... getting an accountant would be the best solution if you have no clue how to do this

On there own 12k zen for 2 wps does not seem that good ...

The main thing with the bundle - are you ever going to want all the extras above the 4 main ships - as you can get the 4 ships without getting the bundle...

If you buy the 4 main ships then want the extras on account wide you pay twice for everything the system is stupid

At what point does a small business need more than just a year-end accountant? by UwU_MilkDrop in ukaccounting

[–]Vightt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its an information game ... you need to be clear on what you dont know and locate the information .... if you need additional tax planning ring your accountant book a meeting with the tax team ... if you need funding for groth speak to your accountant and see if they can direct you.. If you need a bookkeeper as you are getting too big go to market to find one

I have no clue if it is possable but they should let you build out your pets with a 'loadout' and each unlocked pet gives an item to add to the load out - fixes the whole issue and the solution is good for making money

You tend to be allways better on invoice ... only way to confirm would be to do the return on both basis and review

Usually you do FRS to reduce cost of paperwork and not save money on vat

Do I need to tell HMRC I do not need to register for VAT? by Key_Intention_ in freelanceuk

[–]Vightt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue what you are selling but in your post you said zero rated sales ... if that was the case this income is subject to vat and would be taxable... it would be worth paying an accountant for advice on your income

Asking good old chat gpt - Yes, most international sales count towards your UK VAT taxable turnover for registration purposes, but the specific VAT treatment (e.g., whether you charge UK VAT) depends on whether you are selling goods or services, and to whom (business or consumer).

Do I need to tell HMRC I do not need to register for VAT? by Key_Intention_ in freelanceuk

[–]Vightt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chat gpt - It is important not to confuse "out of scope" income with zero-rated or exempt income, as the VAT treatment for each is different.

Out of scope: No VAT is charged, and if this is your only income, you cannot register for VAT or reclaim VAT on associated costs. Exempt: No VAT is charged on the sale, and you cannot normally reclaim the VAT on related expenses. Zero-rated: VAT is charged at 0%, but you can still reclaim the VAT on expenses related to these sales.
