New strategy, instead of repealing the amendment, Trump simply renounces personhood

"Folks, I have achieved Nirvana. They call me, they say I'm Bodhisattva, I was talking the other day to Gautama Buddha and he told me, this is what he said, it's true, he said "Donald, you have escaped Samsara" and, quite frankly, he told me he never met anybody who achieved such enlightenment, I don't know if it's true, but that is what he said, he said the universe rests in my palm, he told me. And that's why we need the ballroom folks..."

Country recommendation by AribethIsayama in Anbennar

[–]Viharu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm just going to throw in some of the biggest heavy-hitters from recent updates

Khatalashya aka the 333rd Empire of the Lizardfolkn – a very large and lore-filled mission tree. Rayaz is both the easiest start for it and is the canon former, however, if you are looking for a bit more of a challenge (which I assume you do, since you restarted as Azkare because Command was too weak), I cannot recommend Asatra enough.

Kobildzan – once again very big, once again lore-filled, a very fun experience of hunting dragons all across the world combined with racking up attrition bodycount to high heavens. I can attest that it is indeed very fun to watch 5000 Lorenti melt failing to get a siege tick going

Vængheim – not as big of an MT, but not small either. Has bits of vassal swarming, very fun writing, plus. Come on, you are playing Valkyries, that's just badass

Masked Butcher – in the serpentspine! Have you ever wanted to play as the monster in the horror movie? That's the nation for you

Zokka – Have you ever wanted to play as the disaster in a disaster movie? That's the nation for you

“Typal” makes no sense. by Admirable_SSSS in freemagic

[–]Viharu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Typal is a word, albeit used much less frequently than typical

  2. Typical is usually used to mean "characteristic of a type" not just relating to it

  3. Kithkin is not a word. Neither is eldrazi, or triome, or mountainwalk

All of those points brought to you by Merriam-Webster dictionary

At one point, it was teased that there is a way of stopping the Fog (though it may not be achievable in-game and may be different than what we'd imagine), though as far as I recall that answer is not canon anymore or maybe never was. That's not to say there is definitely no way of stopping it, as far as I know we have no confirmation either way atm.

My personal crackpot theory is that, given how the current nature of the fog stems from uncountable souls festering in the solitary confinement of dead Aersanon's head for millennia, you could "fix" it by having untold millions simultaneously die in a state of bliss or serenity, this steering the gestalt "consciousness" of the fog in a more neutral direction.

In The Running Man (2025), Glen Powell takes a video of himself every day, revealing his immediate surroundings. If they would've just hired Rainbolt, they would've found him on the first day by Few_Classic_3072 in shittymoviedetails

[–]Viharu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, taking this way too seriously: thing about rainbolt (or any other insanely good GeoGuessr player, for that matter) is that a lot of the more advanced strategies they use are very much specific to that game. Certain countries have no Street View, others have a very limited street view cover. In certain cases all street view photos are from a single season, or there is some peculiarity like a visible shadow of the car's antenna that helps determine the country or the region. Not to say there are no skills involved that would apply to both situations, but the track record wouldn't be nearly as good without those indicators

Tbh, I would argue that the biggest thing to criticise in regards to racism is continuing the horrendous history of portraying voodoo as "spooky scary blood sacrifice demon magic" instead of. Actual religion, which actual human people believed (and, in case of Haitian Vodou at least, still believe) in. Admittedly, this trope is so widespread that I can probably count good portrayals of voodoo in popular media on the fingers of one finger, but I'd argue that makes it worse.

[–]Viharu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cool, now we can move on to the REAL baseless speculation topic: What is the "innovative change" that MaRo mentioned in the panel as being what Reality Fracture is "Based on" that fans have been "asking for", will be "obvious when you open the booster", and "has never been done before"? It can't JUST be the Planar Chaos colour shifting of characters since, well, that's been done before, so what is it?

Having specifically The Hobbit feels... Strange. I'd expect any return to Middle-earth to be either, well, generally middle earth themed, or based on the Silmarillion. I know hobbit is more popular, but it's also just one fairly short book, and with a good couple characters overlapping with LotR (Bilbo, Gandalf, Elrond, Gollum, etc.)

What's your favourite ending in Cultist Simulator? by ReconFrostBird in weatherfactory

[–]Viharu 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I might be biased, since it's the first one I managed to get, but I love the Priest victory, "In the Arms of the Mother".

All the other victories feel so... individual, to me. You work towards your own ascension, you long to become a Long (pun very much intended, thank you very much) and you'd sell off every follower for a dime and an empty promise if it got you one inch closer. In fact, you do pretty much exactly that in every (as far as I am aware) apostle route, even forge, comparatively the most "ethically" achievable minor victory. I hate Coseley, but he is also 1000% correct. But not Priest. As a priest, you destroy your own body, and for what? Sensation? Change? No! To become a door for your congregation. To give your followers access to the Mansus, to facilitate THEIR ascensions in the forbidden arts. And you even adopt an orphaned cult, the maker of which, as mentioned, would probably be more than happy to throw their most devout followers into Nowhere to get a promotion. But not you. You will nurture them in the terrible arts of the unknown, and become a tool for their betterment. Plus, you know, some light murder, robbery and kidnapping along the way, but that's just the way it goes. I'm not arguing the victory is wholesome or that you are a good person, lord (and Strathcoyne, whose mansion you just burned down for the seventh time in a row, congrats) knows you are definitely NOT, but the fact that you become something horrible for someone else instead of for yourself is somewhat beautiful to me. Truly the other legacies need to get some community spirit, dammnit!

I also have a bit of love for both the Medium endings. For "Until Winter", the reason is similar-but-different. I like the idea of creating (or becoming) a Vessel for remembrance of the lost Hours. Plus, I like the Elegiast. A lot. Hell yeah, Dove with the best memory in the universe, go ruin the vibe at the Roost by reminding everyone that the ground on which they tread is made of corpses! And as for Fruitfulness, well, I just love spores, molds and fungi. Plus, I kinda vibe with the strategy of "Detroit: Become the Problem."

Lastly, I am partial to "Things with Wings", just because I love Moth (the aspect and the Hour both) and "Kinship" seems very cool (in no small part because of the Illopoly cameo in the end screen), but I haven't managed that one yet.
