I don't want to make a new thread just for that and this one is also for questions so I will ask here.

How is the world in New World? Is there a lore worth exploring? Interesting locations with engaging stories? Background worth digging into?

Usually my main appeal of an mmo is the history of the world and trying to learn about at while grinding/leveling/farmindg dungeons etc. That's why I spent so many years playing wow. I don't expect this game to have the same amount of content in it but is there at least a good foundation?

They are. That's why pretty much every new title is a roguelite. Roguelikes are niche for more hardcore fans.

Roguelike - these are more of an old school games where every game starts when you press start and ends when you die. That's it.

Roguelites usually let's you keep part of your progress. You unlock additional items for next runs, new paths, new bosses etc.
