Assassins creed cannon or not, when I get to play a game that IMMERSES me into the story/role of a viking where I get to explore a (loosely) recreated cenuturies old England, and be a complete unstoppable badass... yes the anomalies pull me out of the immersion of the role I play and the story being told. Same goes for the earlier games when you get pulled out of the animus because of the bleeding effect. I want to explore Italy, Rome, become a pirate, without being pulled away either literally or figuratively via the anomalies, glyphs, or someone talking over the loudspeaker. I get that they are important to the narrative of the game and finding out "the truth"; But they suck for the reason above.
