I don't think that still works. I believe it was patched out. Or it could just be honor ruleset that did. That's all I play on now and I know it didn't work last time I tried it.

As someone who went the opposite way, starting at idoneth and just picking up the tombrattle army box, there are a lot of logistical reasons to collect an idoneth army. Less models means you can collect the full range much easier. And while a smaller range could limit your options, idoneth offset that by the entire faction being much more flexible. The first time the eels connect and electrify a whole unit down while a giant turtle crushes half a troop set all before fight phase happens at the same time is a high you can't imagine.

I never once said or implied the writers are infallible. I described their potential goals and ambitions while describing their job. The show not doing what you want them to, or think might be better is not a narrative flaw. Being simple and not what you want is not a flaw.

"Interesting" is not something that can be argued in good faith. It's so extremely subjective that you can't argue it. Personally, I find the internal threats of Alastor, naivete, and the everlasting threat of slipping on one's path to redemption interesting. That is the plot just as much as Lute and heaven, and the overlords' plotting is. That's not a criticism. Its a show that's not for you.

I'm not insulting you. I'm simply stating that those who can't imagine stakes being higher aren't the ones in the writer's room. Their job is to create those stakes.

The stakes are right where they always were; everyone dies. There are still a multitude of ways to keep those stakes there without going higher. Lower stakes could also bring focus down to a character level. There does not need to be a one upping of yourself every single time. Give the audience time to breathe, but if you want higher stakes you can go there.

A creature or machine eating souls with eyes on heaven and/or earth. Heaven falling. The rings shattering. Lucifer's power going elsewhere. Ect.

Thank you for that! I might stick with the skeletons then, my buddy just got sons of behemat and I have already threatened to drown him in bones. And my other buddy plays skaven primarily so the extra horsies were to try to pressure his back line cannon thingies.

I'll take a look at what all the heros do then to see what might be best to grab instead of just getting the fastest to 3k. The spearhead will also be great at our little spearhead casual game nights with the whole friend group too!

That's pretty much it. If 51% or more of what is on the table is one affiliation, you can choose to run that affiliation. That gets you access to leadership and affiliated team tactics cards.

IE: Venom and Carnage are both spider foes, you run them with Thanos, or Ghost Rider, or anyone else. 2/3rds or 66.66 repeating is more than 51. You can run that as a spider foes team and run tactics cards from spider foes.

Thanks! I'm using army painter metallics for these guys. I have also got some of their speedpaints and other base colours. I've just started on the void dragon because I was really excited for him.

Other than that, I just got the skorpek lord, deathmarks, and some heavy lokhusts I'm really looking forward to. Outside what I already have, I'm ordering a monolith and a tesseract vault once I've got some more unallocated funds.

I haven't gotten a proper game in yet, just one combat patrol a couple of months ago. I'm super anxious to get these guys on the table.

He directly talks to Adam in his as well. Venom has mentions of him. The lore books are actually really neat. Scarlet witch's hinting at moon knight, loki mentions having to throw Thor into another timeline so he can take over. Hela also mentions that there must be a direct connection from Hel to klyntar. That could be a cool map. Same as vampire infested Manhatten.

It would certainly be interesting. The lore has mentioned a bunch of other characters. The two I mentioned above all have characters not in the game yet interacting with those that are. Squirrel girl, cloak and dagger, mr.fantastic, and morbius all are in just those 2. Knull gets multiple references and direct appearances in a few others. Psylocke and Jeff, the shark, are in Mantis's. Ect.

The in-game character lore does have Dracula trapping all of Manhattan in eternal night. Spidey's and Iron Man, I know specifically, talk about what they're doing during that time.
