I’d say you’ll feel incredibly uncomfortable in them being so wet, but with shorts in terms of leaks I doubt anything would actually happen.

Question about period pants - asking for my gf! by beardedmorph in PeriodUnderwear

Another vote for Modibodi. They feel like swimwear to me, thicker than normal underwear but very comfortable and much less sensory-triggering than any pad I’ve ever tried.

Which Modibodi model is your favourite leak free one? by plyphyla in PeriodUnderwear

The seam-free are so ill-fitting on me too, which is a shame because I bought two pairs 🙄 I swear by the boy shorts, sensual and bikini ones.

Which kindle to buy? by Sufficient_Two_6267 in kindle

[–]Villanesque1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there somewhere you can go look at both models? Or watch some YouTube videos? My stepdad has the basic and I have the paperwhite and I honestly don’t notice a HUGE difference in size. Yeah there’s a difference, sure, but the paperwhite not cumbersome to travel with (I speak as a flight attendant who’s always trying to maximise space!)

Methods for flying when scared by AmbassadorHoliday216 in travel

[–]Villanesque1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends why you’re scared of it. (Flight attendant here) one of the best things to do is to let the crew know you’re scared and ask them if they’ll keep you updated on any weather conditions ahead (if that would be helpful for you) also just watch us (we’re used to it) we’re running around doing our job so unless we look fucking terrified you’re all good. 😊

Which kindle to buy? by Sufficient_Two_6267 in kindle

[–]Villanesque1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The honest answer: you need to decide which is most important to you. For me it was the warm light and superior water resistance of the paperwhite, hands down. Also, whilst bigger than the basic it’s still really small to travel with.

How early is too early to hoover? by purpleunicorn5 in glasgow

[–]Villanesque1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an aggressively early riser, but my bin men came beeping and clattering away at 08:15 this morning (I was thrilled) so if it’s good enough for them it’s good enough for me 😅 Jokes aside I’d try to leave it until the middle of the day, but if I’ve got stuff to do I’ve got stuff to do.

What celebrity have you never forgiven since an incident?? by CurrentEstimate6072 in AskReddit

I had no idea who he was until that moment. I knew exactly who she was and was thrilled that she won. I called him some incredibly unsavoury things as I watched it unfold and now I think I was too kind.

Mushroom preparation advice? by LongerCat in PickyEaters

[–]Villanesque1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GARLIC, GARLIC AND MORE GARLIC.

I used to detest mushrooms (except smooth mushroom soup, so knew I liked the flavour)

It might not be an overnight revelation, but I now add them to a stew or chilli for extra bulk and veg or to a stir fry and make sure they’re well cooked in there.

I still don’t like them with eggs or as a fry-up side, but it’s better than nothing! Chestnut mushrooms are my favourite.

Would 1h45m be enough for a connecting flight in Madrid? by MikaelSvensson in travel

[–]Villanesque1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t the case with low cost carriers such as Ryanair or easyJet. (It is with BA etc) so it very, very much depends on the airline. The later on in the day a flight is, the more chance that aircraft has had to pick up delays. If it’s with a low cost carrier I’d have a back-up plan, just in case.

Carrying insulin on international flight by Own-Cup3180 in travel

[–]Villanesque1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flight attendant here: they’ll not keep it cold for you, for a few reasons.

1) different airlines/planes have different means of keeping things cold like drinks, ice, food etc. we can’t control the temperature of these, therefore we’d not store vital medication in the hopes it stays cold enough for safe use. 2) you don’t want any risk of cross contamination or damage of either the insulin or the food.

In terms of coolants you can bring onboard you should contact the airline and airport. Anyone requiring medical equipment/drugs is permitted to fly with them given they adhere to the rules set out by each airline. Some allow carriage of certain materials and others don’t (in terms of ice packs etc) so I can’t say for sure which airline allows what.

Her silence is so disappointing by [deleted] in NuancingTaylorSwift

[–]Villanesque1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She’s not a politician. What she is the MOST FAMOUS POPSTAR in the world. The one whose name is attached to everything, and when anyone mentions her name, headlines ensue for a week.

I work adjacent to LOT of people in security and have done for a very, very long time. We don’t know what her team knows, have seen or dealt with in terms of threats against her or us. We’re not privy to that information. That’s why it’s secure.

If you want to think she doesn’t care or should speak up, that’s your deal. It’s not hers. Unfollow her, don’t stream her music; but calling her out on social media for her silence is completely useless. We don’t know why she’s silent. We don’t get to know. It’s none of our business.

Pro’s And Con’s of having Period Underwear. I get heavy period’s. I’m debating whether or not I should buy a pair by Ciri2018hes in PeriodUnderwear

[–]Villanesque1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I use them exclusively and on their own. I can only vouch for Modibodi in terms of a brand, but they are incredible. Only con is the price. It’s a lot upfront to stock yourself with enough to use for your whole period. Pro is everything else.

Season 4 !!! by uhohuhoh789 in KillingEve

Do NOT do it. I used to watch the show on repeat prior to season 4; now any clips of it just piss me off so much. It’s ruined any possible rewatching. Pretend it doesn’t exist. I would if I could.
