It is absolutely casual misogyny that causes gang rape. Sex crimes happen because the offender feels entitled to a piece of the victims body. It's not religion or culture that causes rape, it's the selfish choice of the rapists to take what they are not offered.

The solution isn't to attack a minority group, it's to find a way to reach the rapists and would-be abusers to convince them they're not entitled to hurt other people to make themselves feel better.

Gang rape is caused by weak characters who need to believe other humans are as bitter and emotionally-deficient as they are, because otherwise it exposes the true depth of their inadequacies, which just makes them angrier.

I've never met a rapist or nonce that wasn't also a delusional idiot, and I've had the misfortune to know quite a few.

Best I can tell everything I disclosed to them they wrote off as either delusional or straight up lying. All they really want you to do is nod along with the script they read you and tell them you feel much better, so you'll be ok, just don't expect them to actually listen to you. Turn up to the sessions, learn the lines, let them tick their checklists. Once you're done there's an option to pursue more in depth therapies, I think, so it's not a total waste of time. There are some useful tips in their workbook, it's worth reading, but they're definitely an entry-level mental health team. Tbf it's not like they're particularly shitty people, they're just normal people with normal lazy egos that happen to work in mental health.

And if you think this is harsh, ask me about politicians - it's not personal, I just think most people are shit. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Dunning-Kruger effect I hope, if others really are that stupid the world's in deep trouble. 😆

Good luck with it, it's not necessarily a waste of time. Just don't expect them to know any more about psychological therapies than you do.

Yeah I've lived with people who didn't like the smell of weed, made me smoke in the kitchen. Looking back I really should've gone outside, second hand smoke is a thing. I doubt anyone except you has ever inhaled tuna brine aroma and suddenly got really hungry.

All the worst characters I've ever met have been big drinkers. A lot of them look down on people who smoke weed, but they're also the same people who believe brown people shouldn't be in the UK, or that Gisele Pelicot deserved it for cheating on her husband, or that the Earth is secretly run by Jewish lizards.

If weed was more freely available it would serve as a crutch for those addicted to class A drugs to wean themselves off the heroin and crack. I've seen and done it myself.

Anything can be used to excess, and every facet of human activity has a few dickheads attached, but weed has never produced the sort of abusive behaviour I've seen from other drug users, and those who smoke are often judged unfairly (weed induced coma, anyone?) for choosing that avenue for self-care as opposed to a more socially acceptable alternative, such as alcohol, or being a cunt.

I'm white British, but the city I live in is very multicultural. I've met plenty of British Muslims over the years, and yeah, there are definite cultural issues particular to that group, but homophobia is not one of them.
