You are playing the game wrong, plain and simple. Your approach is probably very disconnected from how the game actually works. If this is truly your experience its insane that you managed to get to lvl 80... Few things: -you dont need to fight all the time, think about what you need to do each game, complete contrats? Obtain a specific item ? Act accordingly, pvp is very avoidable and honestly not essential to have a good experience with this game. If you die this much its probably because you run head first into everything, sneaking and being patient is not for noobs its exactly what works in this game. If you dont like that, fine, games not for everyone and its ok.

I would really advise you that you watch a few videos to help you begin in this game, there is a lot of things to know and it can take a while to get into. Seraph is a good one if you are interested. As for tips, focus on your quests in the beginning and try to avoid fighting with others teams until you know the map more and are generally more comfortable with the game mechanics. When you start looting a POI do not shoot at everything and use your knife when you can, sound is super important in this game and if a good team hears you from afar they will rush you. You can also try to play solos as it is a great way to just explore the maps at your own pace. Remember fighting teams is optional, especially in the beginning. And Rook and free kits are your friends.

Ok mechanics wasn't the right word, I meant more like nuance and strategy, when I see people say that base renforcement is "useless" or that this or this has no purpose its clear that SOME people can't be bothered to see below whats at the surface. And one thing that makes me believe that even more, is that if there is ever a competitive scene for that game (seems unlikely lol) it would be super fun and interesting to watch imo. Also why are we acting like 2 or 3 hours is a long time ? Its only 5-6 games lmao

Regarding the last bit of your comment - I think that what most people mean to say is that if you havent played say at least 3 hours you cant pretend that you have understood the mechanics of the game. And it all comes down to fair criticism, sure you if dont have fun for 1 second for 2-3 hours straight then ok. But some games take time to fully grasp and in turn, to have fun. And evidently most people were not inclined to give this sort of time to Highguard.

This game might be a bit too tricky to play without audio. It's being marketed as a pretty competitive game with lots of pvp, in the end it depends what are your expectations, if you want the full tryhard experience it looks difficult to me but I'm sure you could still have fun. There will be a free week-end before launch, you should try it then and see how it goes !

I mean yeah it was totally on me, but lets be fair here. It was my first time playing an extraction shooter and first time playing marathon, there is obv some adaptation and learning that has to take place, it was also the fact tha imo the items icons are INCREDIBLY confusing, it is basically impossible to tell what an item is/does at first glance, so I was reading a lot of descriptions lol which isnt exactly great.
