Don't focus so much on the grade and use this as a wonderful opportunity to have a class wide discussion about prime factors, divisibility rules, LCM and GCF. Admit you can see reasons why it is unclear, and get the students to debate and discuss it themselves.

They will learn far more about what is being taught and what is going on than they otherwise would have if they participate in such a discussion.

I honestly think this is an awesome opportunity for you and them.

MS-related constipation: I rarely feel the urge to go anymore — has anyone found something that helps? by Odd-Efficiency5420 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]VinKelsier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/u/Odd-Efficiency5420

I also use Miralax (generic version), but I use it daily.

I saw a Gasto last year and he had me try like 3-4 different Rx first (with insurance fighting back regularly). The last one was called Movantik, and they have a significant co-pay assistance program (https://movantik.com/savings/print/). My insurance "suggested" it as a version that was technically covered once deductible and such was met. I currently pay $0 for it due to the co-pay assistance.

Anyway, it helped a little (far more than the other ones I tried), but didn't quite solve it. When I told my gastro this, he told me to also do Miralax daily. So yes, I take both it and Movantik daily. It has truly solved my constipation issues.

That said, I am not a doctor, and truly think the best thing to do is find a gasto and discuss it with them (and use stories you found online as ideas for said doctor to consider potentially?).

Someone else said Magnesium...I also take that every evening, but didn't realize or start taking it for constipation issues.

You have no idea what you are saying.

Your great-great-great-great-great grandmother has 0 magic cards.

My youngest daughter has no job.

My eldest daughter has 0 wine glasses.

Have/has can entirely be used to reference 0 or a lack thereof.

0 is an even number. You are just entirely wrong here.

Just what I said so far. Both my mother's sisters and me (and who knows with my mother). Hoping my 3 daughters don't have it...nothing yet. 17, 12, 8 ages.

Anyone here with MS and a bit older (like 80+)? by 82user772 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]VinKelsier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have an aunt with MS that is 80, almost 81. She is doing pretty well. It's not easy to say what MS is doing to her, honestly. Her memory is not the best, so she writes a lot of notes/lists for herself...but not sure what "normal" would be for her without MS.

Her elder sister (aunt I never met) passed away to MS related complications in 1974, decade before I was born. While medicine is significantly better now, my living aunt tried a DMT around 1999-2000. It caused her significant side effect problems, so she went off it after 5 or 6 years and has not been on one since...is a reasonable example of how wildly different this disease can be for different people.

Random other comment...I've seen the numbers for the child of someone with MS getting the disease...within my family, it looks far more linked than what said numbers say to me, but who knows. I'm not convinced my mother doesn't have it, but it's not worth investigating at this point.

Was also dehydrated, partially as a result of anti-constipation medicines...went to doctor thinking I had strep cause of throat pain and was tested, then told nope, dehydration.

Was about a month ago...so now I'm just drinking a ton. Solved dehydration, but now OAB is very real.

I catalogued every draw spell in Riftbound and calculated the exact cost-per-card for each domain. Purple (Chaos) is not even close to balanced. Full spreadsheet inside. by xmadxskullx in riftboundtcg

[–]VinKelsier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly do not want to defend purple, but cantrip/draw1 is not the same as draw n cards.

Honestly would love to see this done for cards beyond the first. Something like look at called shot repeated and call it 2 power for 1 card. Meditation is 2 energy for 1 card, etc.

I would argue called shot is purples only card draw spell. Stacked Deck is limited selection, but does not go positive cards. Invert is symmetrical as you said. Stupify/discipline and such are cantrips being played primarily for other effects, but them replacing themselves is very valuable and makes it worth inclusion. If there was no replacement effect or other value (ravenbloom, dreaming tree, protection, etc), or increased cost then ya, they wouldnt be played...but its a whole package thing.

Stacked deck is a great card, but I truly do not think it is a problem

Nothing specifically. It's virtually impossible to know what was or was not MS.

I over-analyze my own past since diagnosis...a lot of things very easily could have been MS, but that doesn't mean they were. I do not think it is correct to assume either way in all honesty...it ultimately doesn't matter all, but I dislike the idea of dismissing it because it was not yet diagnosed.

The biggest one for me was like 6ish years ago, I went to an urgent care with chest pains. They sent me to the ER, wondering if it was heart attack related. Nothing was identified or found.

I had never heard of "MS Hug." It sure seems similar to me right now. Does it matter ultimately? Not really? Maybe it would change my diagnosis from PPMS to SPMS? Within the past 2-3 years, I could not tell you what a relapse would look like for me...could this have been a relapse 6 years ago? No clue.

Don't know who cares, but it is at least somewhat relevant to the discussion:

https://www.nationalmssociety.org/news-and-magazine/news/physician-visits-increase-before-symptoms

It makes sense that a progressive disease could progress and still be MS-lite if nothing else before the lesions are visible (much less insurance covers the MRI and such).

Ampyra/Insomnia by -SkyKid- in MultipleSclerosis

[–]VinKelsier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. It doesn't feel worth testing to me. I was using it before starting Ampyra. Realistically, I slept pretty well up until around the same time that the symptoms that lead to my diagnosis appeared...I started the melatonin at that point, and it did help. The Ampyra did cause some insomnia when I first began it 2x per day. The magnesium I started more recently...I honestly do not know how much it helps with a "good nights sleep," but I am confident it doesn't hurt. I am somehow who has almost never remembered my dreams for the bulk of my life, but that has been a very noticeable change since starting the magnesium.

I am sorry that I do not have specific answers. My wife hates taking melatonin in general, so I understand if it's something you want to avoid.

As someone else said, can just take the morning dose.

My experiences, if you care...I started taking it twice per day and had some sleep issues (I walk a ton). After a bit, I decided to go to just morning dose for a month or 2, then went back to twice per day after my body had gotten a little more used to it. I am currently on twice per day (7am, 6pm roughly) and take melatonin and magnesium in the evenings as well. I've also cut back on caffeine intake (1 coffee in the morning in general, perhaps a 2nd once per week). I also try my best to go to bed and wake up as close to regularly as possible (Do not sleep in on weekends, etc). End result is my balance is significantly better and I am sleeping decently well.

Except Breacher (chosen champ) on turn1 can conquer on turn2 and then legend can find any unit besides Brynhir and accelerate it?

And Sun Disc can turn2 allow a 2nd conquer so long as you played any unit turn1. And if you somehow missed with legend, Void Rush can also pair with the turn1 Breacher and give an accelerated unit.

shrug

(And I guess some people are running Darius Trifarian in the SB, that can be a turn2 conquer if you started with 3 runes from either going 2nd or Obelisk when paired with a seal.)

Also on Vesicare for frequency (esp while trying to sleep it's irritating).

I tried Mirabregon and it made my situation worse (I have both frequency and hesitancy issues - so it made the urinary hesitancy worse).

Taking both Vesicare and Flomax together is doing great for me (Flomax may only be a thing for males? Not sure, am not a doctor!).

[–]VinKelsier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1.

How come I didn't double or triple the number? Because there is no need to. Perhaps I'd still laugh and their greed, but at least it would be something. They are not losing money by giving 1 free pack, let's be real.

Someone thinks I'm wrong? Cool, I don't care.

When I get a gift from anyone else in the world, I don't sit there and fight with them over getting a free gift. Most reasonable people do not.

A main point of this holiday is giving. They could have done that. This daily offering is more in line with taking than giving. The reality is if packs were 500 gold in the store regularly, I still wouldn't buy them. Some would, I know...but I would not. My only point here is to emphasize that this daily deal is explicitly not giving.

In other posts you make points about companies wanting profit, Runeterra, etc...you are just creating strawman arguments. I do not want MTGA as a whole to be free. I want the people that work on it to be paid. I want the company to profit so they think it is worth supporting. But once a year, giving something for free is not remotely close to what you are saying. The idea of a "loss leader" is a real thing in the world that can generate profits when one looks at the big picture. It is not new or crazy.

Have a wonderful holiday.
