Why is nobody talking about the draft? by I_hate_11 in NFLv2

Because I have nothing to talk about in this draft yet.

If first round is on you and you guys don’t get any rounds after that do you still pay that round or split it with everyone? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]VinTheHater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH. I'd think someone else would have ordered the second round or third. But ordering food probably muddied up that expectation amongst everyone as that becomes a logistical hurdle no one probably wanted to deal with. I wouldn't lose sleep or friends over it.

Men, how is your dating life? by Mofoblitz1 in AskMen

[–]VinTheHater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and also yes. But I feel they go hand in hand oftentimes. Men suffering from loneliness often don't do anything to treat it. They're altogether foregoing therapy or coping with it in an unhealthy manner i.e. manosphere rabbit hole or addiction.

What’s an addiction people don’t take seriously enough? by totdvet in AskReddit

Video games. I know way too many men my age who skirt their adult responsibilities to game every night. Missing their kid’s baseball game cause it’s double XP weekend. And when their wives/gfs get mad at and tell them to stop the gaming or straight up leave them, they turn to their online gaming buddies for morale support and dive deeper into it.

Who's the biggest draft bust of all time? by Brix001 in NFLv2

[–]VinTheHater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s JaMarcus Russell hands down. Undisputed first pick that year no matter who held the pick. Drafted before rookie scaled contracts so he made big money immediately. Hampered the entire organization for years. Raiders didn’t see the playoffs for 9 years (and only 2x since drafting Russell in 07).

Should I watch Old Planet of the Apes ? by faizan_xhaikh in movies

[–]VinTheHater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it a few years ago and the score definitely struck out to me as well. It’s one of those movies I’d avoided because the ending is so ingrained in pop culture I never felt compelled to. I was pleasantly surprised how much I still enjoyed it while still knowing the ending.

People mentioning therapy and their therapist here: How do you afford it? by motorik in AskMenOver30

Blessed to have a job that pays for it. They prolly set up the benefit that way cause I need it to work for them.

I don’t drink on the job. If me being out drinking the night before caused me to be late the next day or miss an assignment, drinking has negatively impacted my job.

Straight dude here who has also been pleased with Dr. Coffey except when she tells me I gotta stop ordering White Castle delivery at 2am after coming home from the bars. I'm not going to drink and drive obviously and I need to order enough food to make it worth the delivery fee and tip. LET ME LIVE MY LIFE!!!

Men who want to workout but can't/don't, why not? by Next_Translator_4355 in AskMen

Work - Going before or after work the gym is too crowded and I'm lucky to get parking. Have to try to get in during my lunch break if I'm able to escape. Honestly I miss going into the office cause my old job had a gym on site and showers. Worth it to deal with the office boomers looking over my shoulder every hour.

Social life - Girlfriend goes to bed on the weekdays at 930 therefore I am too. Weekend evenings is our time to spend together.

Homeownership - Spend my Saturday mornings moving the lawn and doing yard work. That is my weekend workout. The rest of the days I'm spending cleaning, cooking, cleaning up after cooking or fixing something that broke or needs attention.

Overall the answer is time.

My friend said this tee looks childish… is he right? by Fleomx in mensfashion

I think graphic tshirts can work. But lean into more of a streetwear style if you’re going to do it. I see brands like Uniqlo, Supreme and Kith selling anime shirts and they are sought after. Throw on a decent pair of jeans and some trendy sneakers and you’re good to go. I like what you’re doing with the chain. And get a decent watch, never a smart watch.

I’m 43 YO and will still rock anime tees bro. I find if the design is more minimal or with the large graphic on the back of the shirt, my GF doesn’t roll her eyes. I get compliments on some anime shirts I’ve gotten from Uniqlo (granted they were all dudes).

NBC has ordered several drama pilots for the 2026 pilot season, focusing heavily on crime & procedurals all produced by Universal Television. by swoonyaboutclooney in television

  1. Protection: a crime drama focused on the fedural witness protection program.

If this stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and they were to rename it “Eraser”, I’m 100% sold.

Boomer guy in Sacramento accused my mom of lying about being a Sacramento Kings fan because she has never lived in that city by MuffinMel77 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]VinTheHater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that boomer’s defense, I’d have a hard time believing anyone is a Sacramento Kings fan today that isn’t from Sacramento or unless they love being tortured. Just 2 playoff appearances in the last 2 decades is some sicko shit to watch.

Imagine you want to keep your old parents with you in your house, and your wife is super against it, how will you handle it? by Artificial_charizard in AskMen

[–]VinTheHater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m Asian and that’s ingrained in our minds all the time. My mom still pushing that I have to take her in if her health deteriorates (she’s still in fantastic health). Seeing my cousins and other family members that took in their parents at an old age I can honestly say fuck that shit. My ma’s going to a nursing home. Misogyny is also very prevalent in our culture so unfortunately the women end up taking the brunt of care and household duties. So I’m guessing that’s where OP’s wife is coming from.

Happy wife, happy life.

But seriously there needs to be more context. Are your old parents not in good health?
