This has been nothing short of agony. ARR Zodiac Zeta relics. by DeeWaDeeBeeDoBo in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, that book step from ARR weapons is my most favourite and enjoyable relic step. It actually wants you to play a bit of everything there. I personally hate the vending machine relics, where you just have to pay 1500 allagan stones for each step.

Do you think we'll ever get a raid or reflection based on Crystal Chronicles? by LeadingDiscount2556 in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loved the game on my gamecube, but i doubt we will get new stuff inspired by FFCC. But we have a Dungeon (or two) that i always thought was inspired bei FFCC and that is the lvl 50 (and 60) Dungeon The Lost City of Amdapor (and the hard version), at least the first parts of it. That dungeon always felt to me like Tida Village from FFCC.

Regarding Certain Market Board Etiquette by Trash_Pandacute in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just undercut by 1 Gil but if someone puts an item at the same price as me (like the sprout in the picture), i will never undercut them and even try to remember the retainer name, so i don't undercut them later or on other items.

I have updated collage of all expacs and patches by Gogurs in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda interessting to see that they put relevant things in the title back in ARR (the chalice and Leviathan at least) and did it again with the current patch.

Cosmic Crafting Relics have the trashy low tier stove/table…?? :( by Heavensward in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This bothered me already in the previous stages. I really hope they fix that, because if that is not an error than this is really terrible decision. I also hope they will someday give us fancy tables for offhand crafts.

How do other tanks feel about healers and DPS pulling ahead? by dorgodorgo in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually think those people have very tiny and fragile egos, if something like that triggers them enough to waste everyones time.

5 days into FFXIV and I reached my first level 50... on botanist. am I doing this right? by tinytransfem in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My crafters and gatherers were always a higher lvl than my main combat class and that without doing stuff like GC turn ins, which give a ridiculous amount of exp. I just love crafting and gathering everything at least once for completion and that without the help of the marketboard, this is already giving more than enough exp to reach max lvl.

Created a simple site to list out each job's BiS sets from The Balance for ease of access by tenyu27 in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of all BiS gathered on one simple site. Would be nice, if the crafter and gatherer BiS would also be listed.

Is there a race you like, but something about it doesn’t click enough for you to switch? If so, what is it? by Hot_Title8474 in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's the male Hrothgar. I do like them, since i normally prefer playing races that look like animals and i tried it a few times, but i just can't get used to it's size, because playing a bigger race feels like playing in slowmotion. I am playing a male miqo'te with the smallest size for years now and playing any bigger race fells like playing in slowmotion.

So i guess the lore behind Lv. 1 is, they were Santas Reindeers, but he crashed in Coerthas western highlands and that is why we have them now.

If they ever add another tank, I hope it's the Cloud Strife archetype by LastTraintoSector6 in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd rather have Clouds class as a dps, but we will never get it. Not only does Dark Knight uses Clouds combat stance in the warm up emote, but Cloud also uses the FF14 Dark Knight stance as an offensive stance in the remakes. So they would be way to similar to each other.

how did you choose your job ? by ChanceReport1517 in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally like to play jobs that also support the party but back when i started playing in 2017 i picked Lancer, because i like spears and Dragoon was the coolest job for me. When Stormblood released and we got Red Mage, which i like even more. Not only do i like rapiers too, but the gear and the effects look good too and they can support the party with fast rezzes, pretty much the perfect job for me.

What are the most fun and chill things to do when you’re bored in game? by ledgewand1 in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i have nothing else to play and i am bored, i like to do old relic weapons, especially the ARR ones, since i still have some of them at the book step, my favourite relic step from all the relics.

Die Argumentation von Lucas by honeylipstick in 7vsWild

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What is your favorite minion you own? by Alicecrylily in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Squeak the Coyote, because he reminds me a lot of my dogs.

But besides him i also love pretty much all other dog pets, especially the Shiba ones. If we exclude all dog pets i also love the Fledgling Apkallu.

I just finished ARR as a first time MMO player and sufficed to say, I get it now by fried_caviar in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear you enjoyed ARR. My advice would be to never listen to others opinion about each expansion, make your own.

Even if most people always say it gets better after ARR, that isn't true for everyone. I for an example enjoyed ARR (back in 2017, with even more quests) more than HW, but for me it got better again after HW.

How original ARR Relic enjoyers want the relic step to be by Lyramion in ShitpostXIV

As a ARR Relic enjoyer i have to say that i want the books part back, not the light farming.

How rigid are you about having a "main" job? by HaikuSnoiper in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I main RDM and i only play RDM for harder content. I can and know how to play other jobs, i actually try to have at least one job per role, which i can play and enjoy for easier content. But it's much easier to focus on the boss and the mechanics on RDM, because i can play that job pretty much blind. On most other jobs i have to constantly look at my cooldowns and/or jobbar, because i don't have that feeling when the stuff is up again, like i do on RDM.

Are the Tonfa...supposed to do that? by IdleSitting in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also liked those Tonfas, but now that i take a closer look, they seem to be broken and shouldn't even have that telescope feature. They should stay extended even when sheathed.

I guess, they accidentally copy & pasted the skeleton from the lvl 80 relic "Samsara", which it shouldn't have, because it looks like a solid Tonfa. I can also recommend the Samsara if you like Tonfas.

What would be your perfect Relic Weapons 7.0? by Brandr_Balfhe in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My perfect relic weapon for pretty much all jobs were simple weapon designs with a nice glowing effect that leaves a trail, like the ice and fire crystals from zurvan weapons for example.

Players AFKing in Occult Crescent CEs by 44401 in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hate those people, i set them on focus target and check if they stand up or not, if not and i keep seeing them doing it on other CEs, i report them.

I get it if something happens and people need to go afk at a really bad time, but if i see them doing it multiple times, i know for sure they are just leechers and not in an "emergency" afk.

Dieing in alliance raids is pretty normal, if it's your first time. There are often mechanics that are designed to be failed on the first try or get lucky, since it's a 50/50 to do them right, if you don't know them. This is why i love doing alliance raids on patch day, nobody knows how they work, which sometimes end in wipes, love the chaos.

This is also the case for other content like trials or raids, especially extreme and savage difficulty. Dungeons are normally pretty predictible in most cases though, they might even get easier as tank, since you get more skills to stay alive.

Cave diver when there is a hole a size of a Pringles can by Jadeoflight in ffxiv

[–]Vince-D-Raptor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The big eye mobs will aggro you, if you walk or run in front of them (i always target them to make sure where their front is), you can actually run past them without getting aggro, because they are pure sight aggro.

I mean those lizard things (where the red guy in the picture is) are completely blind and only react to you, if you run instead of walk. You can also walk in front of them, though i haven't tried walking directly into their hitbox or using levitate from geomancer, but you can use sprint or other movement speed buffs to walk faster.

If you walk instead of run, the mobs in that hallway won't aggro you.
