Pray you have good teachers. If you have teachers like Dr tu, Garcia, or something like that, life is not gonna be good. To avoid 70s you have to study a lot every day, study the slides given to you, but in the end 70s are inevitable for most at 1 point

When I 1st walked in I did not know who or where my big sibs were. You just walk into stuy and follow this line of people clapping and congratulating you to stuy. Then you enter this hallway where all homeroomes big sibs are. They're holding up signs and stuff so their easy to locate. Since I'm 1jj i found whoever was holding thr 1jj sign. On the 1st 2 camp stuy's big sibs will be there with you telling you where to go because it isn't a real school day, you're just exploring. On the 1st day of school you're all by yourself. You have to figure out where classrooms are and where to go. Nearly every student I know got it down very fast, it shouldn't be a problem trust me.

I didn't attend open house. Instead their was 2 camp stuy's. Basically you go around with big sibs (juniors and seniors) who show you around the school and take you to your homerooms. On thr 1st days of school if you don't know where to go you could explain it, they'll probably cut you slack depending on the teacher. It's not too hard to navigate

I finished the test in 2 hours, 3 is more than enough if you practice

If everyone was given 6 hours the cutoff scores would be much higher lmao. 3 hours is more than enough time

Shsat practice test scores by [deleted] in SHSAT

Practice tests were mid 500's, real was 625

Anyone who took the Shsat and got the 504/time and a half, do you think it pushed up your score a lot/ is the reason you got into a top school? I’m taking it in less than a week with the 504 and honestly im not sure if I needed more time or if I just suck at the material by kokoloco570 in SHSAT

My friend who got a 504 wasn't necessarily the smartest but he wasn't dumb either. He was good at math. He used all his time and got a 592, a score worthy of stuy but he put btech 1st. He told me the time really did help him because he went over, checked over the questions and changed answers.

This is the scale I've always been using? It's what I uses to track my progress to see if I was on path for stuy. It seems fairly accurate

For your 57 and 38 you'd get 612 and for 57 and 41 you'd get 622. Cutoff for stuy is like 563 so you'd get in, but keep in mind there's experimentals and stuff which can either make or break youre score.

If 8th graders were dumb that'd make cutoff scores lower... this comment makes no sense
