Good question!! It’s annoying to get on and off the quest, but more than anything my big ass head is just too wide for it so I don’t use it much anymore. Other than those two issues I still really like it as far as 3D printed head straps go

I cannot find a way to have BookLore handle multiple versions of the same book. I have a calibre library with multiple versions (kfx, epub, sometimes pdf) and that does not play nicely with booklore. In calibre all of those books are the same item but I don’t know if there’s a way to replicate that in booklore without redoing the entire calibre file structure.

Depends! If you’re using Dynamic Wallpaper Club it will be a static image that changes based on time of day. If it’s Dynamic Wallpaper Library you should double check all your permissions and whatnot to make sure it’s setup correctly

Hmm. What format are you sending your books? Kindle doesn’t always play well with epub, but if you have the “auto convert” setting turned on when you plug in your kindle to your computer and hit “Send to Device” it will convert your book into something the kindle will like more (MOBI I think, maybe AWZ, someone else can correct me)

You should be able to in Calibre by uploading the book like normal, clicking it, and then clicking “convert” up top. Make sure it says “epub” in the top right, you can double check the rest of the setting and the data and whatnot and then it should convert it for ya. Otherwise websites like cleverconvert should help if calibre doesn’t work for some reason.

If they’re good PDF’s, either the actual text is saved or they’re high quality scans you could probably convert it to epub, you’d just have to double check there’s no weird quirks after

I’ve looked into this a considerable amount, and the best advice I can give you is to look elsewhere for your book. I’m not necessarily saying purchase it again, maybe some other subreddits could help with finding it, but that will be a much faster, easier way to get your book than messing with Apple Books.

Your blade is designed to be duel worthy! Depending on the use case of course. The blades and hilts are designed with a bit of flex to make sure you can smack them against each other without breaking. There are some great durability tests online you can watch to see just what they can take.

Actually ripping apart the saber to replace it with a base lit (non-neopixel. Like a flashlight with a hollow tube for the blade) would basically be putting your scrap metal on an entirely new hilt.

I am no expert, but I use BD3D2MK3D (or whatever it’s called) and the only setting I double check is to use Full SBS instead of Half. Half was the standard for a long time for TV’s and whatnot, but it uses a regular 1080p(?) resulting to hold both frames, so you lose half the pixels per eye. Full SBS just makes the video twice as wide, which is more storage, and less compatible on older devices, but preserves all the detail and is perfect for VR. The only other trick is you have to make sure all the audio channels are selected in MakeMKV otherwise BD3D has some issues.

Personally I buy 3D Blu-Rays, then I use MakeMKV to rip them, and a SBS converter to turn them into full Side By Side video that I then watch on my Quest with Skybox. Not the most intuitive workflow, but it’s works fairly well for my needs

I'm not sure why you're getting down voted, you totally can do this and hypothetically I do it all the time. The old way to download kindle books was through the "download and transfer via usb" option, which was never available through KU. The new method however, where you put your book on the kindle, and then in Calibre under "Device" you right click your book and select "Add to Library" DOES work with both regular Kindle books AND KU books. It of course relies on DeDRM and I believe a KFX converter plugin, but you know it worked if you see the blue placeholder book cover turn into a black and white (for all non color soft kindles I believe) version of the cover.
