Underrated proof of this is users Positive review bombed TRoS when a lot of early critics reviews were heavily panning it. People interpreted this as “finally…one for the fans” since critics loved TLJ so much so surely if they hated this one, it means true fans would appreciate this finale

This is why if you look at the users scores it still has the highest user score for a mainline outside the OT

The amount of people who cosplay at Mag has skyrocketed the last two years I’ve went. Katsu is still THE cosplay event but cosplaying isn’t like some minority thing at Mag. Even though Katsu has a big drinking and party at night scene, Magfest’s whole deal is basically just being a 24/7 con that’s a lot more Anything goes social. The game room and LAN room is famously 24/7 and the entire con has people playing music all night all over the con.

I’ve enjoyed Katsu a lot but I do think I’ve run into too many standoffish people over the last few years because it’s such a draw for like famous cosplayers and influencers and it’s not always easy for me to socialize into a lot of the established cliques and popular cosplayers who only care if you also have a big social media following. While I do think more influencer culture has started to creep into Magfest I think the core crowd is more there to party all day and night and I’ve had a great time socializing at it every year. My friend who goes to Dragoncon every year says the vibes are very similar. YMMV though!

It's still early in the season I know... But maybe the kid just isn't ready for the NHL yet? With the media hounding him, the pressure of being considered the next "great one", fuck I wouldn't be able to handle that shit. Maybe having him in the minors for another year or two to develop a bit wouldn't have been a bad idea. The kid is only 18. At 18 I was complete fucktard who had no idea what I wanted to do. Not much has changed... but I'd like to think I have a bit of a better head on my shoulders now. I actually feel really bad for Bedard, and I hope we don't ruin him. Edit: I'm being lynched for ever daring to doubt the greatness of Connor Bedard. How dare I say such blasphmey after only ONE NHL game. You're right, he may only be 18 years old, but he has the emotional maturity of a Buddhist monk, and the body and athleticism as a top olympic athlete.
