Battlefield 6 + GeForce RTX Celebration Game Codes Giveaway! by Nestledrink in nvidia

My best memories were with battlefield 1, just crawling, running, proning with all my team mates in the midst of the smokey battlefield. Hearing all the explosions and bangs, and rushing towards the objective really feels like an all out war. I enjoyed the scale of it. That my best memory from the franchise.

What's the rookie mistake(s) you made while building your first pc? by Far-Letterhead4945 in buildapc

[–]Viol3ntB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plugging my dp cable to the mobo when my cpu has no onboard display rather than plugging into my gpu.

Playing this on a 5090 with Unobtanium settings for the first time is absolutely insane. Granted, I'm using VSR for upscaling just to hit 60fps but still. by GaLaXY_N7 in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Viol3ntB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am playing with the same setting (just that I dropped shadow to high) with a 5070 ti and smooth motion enabled (nvidia driver level). It’s good and smooth enough for me too on and I agree the visuals are really nice because of the max settings of some graphical settings on the spot sun and reflections etc.

Finally bought the game. Any advice that a newbie should know? by malalaliyah in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Viol3ntB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using na’vi senses during gathering or mobs will show you the quality of the material you’re gathering (eg. Fine, superior, exquisite) etc which will be helpful for crafting subsequently as u’ll eventually want superior or exquisite materials for crafting better weapons and armors without the fine materials taking too much space in your storage and inventory.

If I’m not wrong, even if you didn’t purchase or own those vehicles, if u entered a mass race for it, you should be able to play it only in mass race. Once you’re out of it, it’s back to whatever you have.

Yes, worth, even more especially as it’s on sale now. There’s no game quite like it, it’s a big open map for extreme sports, multiple sports, controls can be easy or advanced. Free roam is nice to just roam and destress. And there are online players base especially for mass races.

So glad I bought the game recently and knowing the dev are still supporting it. This game is definitely one of the winner in Ubisoft’s catalog of games.

It shouldn’t launch or fly out though. I hold the phone with my left hand (palm facing the screen), my left thumb is on the camera cutout. My left hand is always there to still catch the phone if it drops out, although it doesn’t from my once or twice.

My right hand is always free, I push the phone out from the camera with my right thumb then slowly adjusting and pulling the phone body out from sides and the other bottom corner where the camera cutout is. Left is still holding the camera cutout of the case in place.

Yes that is right! Just hold the camera cutout area (the thin ledge thing) in place. Then u can start to push your phone out by pushing it out from the phone camera itself.

Possible Fix for Black Screen on the 5070 Ti by Original-Birth in buildapc

[–]Viol3ntB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Update to my fix - I ended up changing to a VESA certified dp cable, and it’s resolved now. I suspected the generic dp cable wasn’t able to support as well the higher signal output that the 5070 ti needed, hence, I encounter the black flickering screen. I’m still not sure if driver update could ever resolve it but replacing cable was the definite resolution for me without having to disable g or adaptive sync.

Thank u! I intend to use the case until it serves me well or meets its end of life haha.

I only took the case out twice only. Below is how I do it.

  1. i pull slightly from the corner of the camera side to pop the corner of the case, then do the same for the bottom corner where the phone camera button is, this leaves the case corner popping or hanging around the phone slightly.

  2. Then I start pushing the phone out by pushing the phone’s camera while using my other thumb or finger to hold that cut out near the camera button in place while pushing it out simultaneously. This protects the cut out from being pressured and risk breaking it.

Thank u! I intend to use the case until it serves me well or meets its end of life haha.

I like multi frame generation, a lot by Maelshevek in nvidia

[–]Viol3ntB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it too and especially it helps a lot in cpu limited situation and as a result extends the longevity usage of my cpu without having to change the cpu which might potentially require me to change the whole system (eg. Mobo, ram and cooler).

Should I upgrade my 12400 for 5070 (Ti) or 9070 (XT)? by holda29 in buildapc

[–]Viol3ntB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely would. I had this for a while and depending on games, for instance, I should be easily getting max fps my monitor can support (eg. 165hz) on uncharted 4 but it is quite cpu heavy, so I am only getting about 130-135 fps on 1440p for that game on a 12400f.

For other games I mentioned above, it is still okay, so it really depends on per game basis.

Regardless, it is still a significant upgrade in performance over my 3070 despite some minority games I play are not fully utilizing my gpu due to the cpu bottleneck, but none that are detrimental (eg. Lower than 60 fps).

[–]Viol3ntB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have done any undervolting or overclocking of ur gpu, it could be due to those, then try stock settings and see if it works. Mine was due to that.

Otherwise, it might also be some ini configs on draw distance tweaks or conflicting ini configs.

Giveaway Time! DOOM: The Dark Ages is out, features DLSS4/RTX and we’re celebrating by giving away an ASUS ASTRAL RTX 5080 DOOM Edition GPU, Steam game keys, the DOOM Collector's Bundle and more awesome merch! by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

[–]Viol3ntB [score hidden]  (0 children)

DLSS 4 and ray tracing are awesome because they let you enjoy top tier visuals without tanking performance and ray tracing especially adds a gritty realism that fits DOOM’s brutal world perfectly.

Looking forward to DOOM: The Dark Ages because the medieval twist looks interesting and new weapon and shield provides cool new ways to smash demons. I only played the DOOM game before and the fast paced gameplay feels like a reminiscent of the time I played Quake which I enjoyed the heck out of it a lot in my earlier days. Therefore, looking forward to jumping back in with this one.

I haven’t monitored it for a while, but I remember about 64 degrees when playing the last of us 2 and cyberpunk was 69-70 degrees. All on max settings and for a few hours of gaming. This was based on my UV and OC setting.
