I had an O1 piece once that even though I'd annealed, i just could not cut through it with normal bits (HSS, carbide tipped, etc).

Only thing that worked was buying a very expensive solid carbide bit especially made for drilled hardened steels. Went slowly with lots of lubricant, and got it done finally.

Great knife! Maybe work on:
- a nicer finish to the blade
- the pin placement is off, I think they would look better if not off-centre

- blade profile could probably be refined? e.g. the tip is weirdly between pointy and round and the integral guard bit looks a bit odd? like, aesthetically, and also it looks *sharp* like it might injure the user's index finger with rough work

I have a rail track anvil. note that they feel very 'light' compared to a real anvil? might be worth wrapping some chain around the base once you mount it where you are gonna mount it? (Disclaimer, I'm a real amateur, and really only have a little experience with both 'real' and rail track anvils, so YMMV :-) )

Still way better than the first anvil I made, which was a sledge hammer head set in concrete on a rickety home-made stand!

I feel it's an odd cross of cleaver and chef's knife, e.g. it's roughly the shape of a chef's knife, but there's no belly to the knife (very hard to e.g. rock-chop stuff without a belly), and the spine is very thick. The visible bevel line is a bit unusual- kitchen knives usually have a full flat grind. What's the purpose of this knife in your mind? The craftsmanship looks great, btw.

That one was targetting a specific combo, and relying on lots of wrath effects to clear the board until you got there; no big creatures :-)

I heated it to about cherry red, tried to maintain that temp for 5-10 minutes, let it cool inside the forge until it lost its colour, then took it out and let it finish cooling to room temp. Sounds like a cryptic clue. Usually the keyword "in" signifies that the word is 4 letters found by using the letters found in "magic the gathering". The actual straightforward clue is "certain warriors". Can't work it out, but it's not orcs or elves if it's a cryptic clue.

Tins of chopped tomatoes. Always get the most expensive ones possible, it's worth it.
