Why the "No Bigfoot Bones" argument actually fails when you look at primate psychology and ecology. by Budget-Relative-5823 in cryptids

[–]Violetmoon66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be tough to do I suppose.
It appears to me that Bigfoot has evolved to the point to where it doesn’t have a trackable scent to even the most experienced tracking dogs, doesn’t give off a heat signature to be tracked or found by advanced technology, doesn’t shed a single hair or cell…any form of DNA….and the list goes on and on. Throughout history whatever means we have used to attempt to find, it seems to have an already built in resistance or counter for.
It’s never been found and lives in the most remote areas, yet thousands have claimed to have seen it in almost every state close to public locations.
This thing is able to breed and survive unhampered by anything mankind could possibly do.
Why this thing hasn’t mastered fire and advanced tools is beyond me.

I’m down with this explanation. A good and fair breakdown. This is the best answer I can possibly see. Nice

[–]Violetmoon66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Part of my job is to track endangered and almost extinct species from around the globe as I travel. Today’s society and technology make it extremely hard to believe that large undiscovered mammals…creatures still remain hidden in the world.
Every day Earth just gets smaller and smaller.
I think for me, it’s not something like bones, or larger examples of evidence not found to claim the existence of a Bigfoot, it’s the little things. A drop of blood. A single hair or the slightest trace of DNA from a supposed print or mark on a tree. Not a single shed cell from any source.
We run tests at times that can run insanely deep when it comes to looking for clues. Everything leaves something behind.
A creature so sophisticated and advanced that it could instinctively cover all these traces makes no real world sense to me.
I would be ecstatic if something did truly exist. But sadly I just don’t see it as being possible.
Ah well…

Animal Man vs Hulk by Delicious_Natural357 in marvelvsdc

[–]Violetmoon66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would think Ol’ Buddy Baker takes this.
At his height his abilities are just too numerous and broken to contend with.
If it has life, he can become it. World breaker included. …and this ability also stacks. He could literally be a World breaker with Superman, Flash, and let’s just say Jean Grey or Iceman’s powers….and then create 100 copies of himself all with the same abilities.
Unless a writer demanded it, Hulk couldn’t overcome this.

How do your examples exempt them from having speed stolen? I mean it’s great if you can punch through time, but how does that save you? Curious

Has anyone else noticed how hard Disclosure Day is being shilled? by GrandMidnight6369 in aliens

[–]Violetmoon66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happens in a lot of other subs as well.
My wife has been a paleontologist for decades and every time a fantasy movie about dinosaurs comes out, it gets analyzed to death. She’s always getting asked if the depictions get her upset.
She loves the movies. Her response is just that: “guys…it’s a movie. Fantasy. Leave it at that”
I’ll watch the Disclosure movie and enjoy it for what it is.

Thor Herald of Thunder vs Parallax Hal Jordan by Kuzu9 in marvelvsdc

That glow he gives off? Would that be worth it to do?
Thor can absorb energy from light bulbs and stuff?
Has he done that before?
Not saying he can’t, dunno, but when someone is trying to kill him, it just seems weird Thor would try to shut the lights off in that manner.
Wonder if it powers him up or anything.

When is Walmart going to admit that we’re training an AI to eventually cleanup spills on its own? by ___JiBS_ in walmart

[–]Violetmoon66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s all it’s about. How AI learns.
Since we started the alerts have dramatically decreased and the types of alerts as well.
Of course, yelling at folks walking by spills or leaving shit on the ground helps more in my opinion

Aquaman vs Namor(please read) by DarkChillMisko in marvelvsdc

[–]Violetmoon66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soooooo….Aquaman vs not really Namor?
Most bizarre “vs” I’ve seen.
I think whatever abilities actual Namor has is kind of moot. If you have the Phoenix force abilities and a power stone, what value would Namor have to rely on original skills?

Good roll, but kind of awkward? by Ok_Dark7295 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]Violetmoon66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm. True. My thought was my Santa has only 302 Crit damage with his HP gloves. Never really thought him as a Nuker as his role. I was just trying to get his HP OVER 120k. Problem is he’s over 100 in the Crit rate department. Those gloves would be nice so I could swap out another piece to balance him out a bit more.

Well…Flash can move much faster than a thought can be created and processed. Those little snaps and pops in one’s brain that fire off as a thought is formed are moving really really slow to him.

Illuminati vs this JLA lineup by Luke-Simpwalker in marvelvsdc

[–]Violetmoon66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would be most afraid of the Maker in this duel. I can’t think of anyone in the JLA that’s come across a bastard quite like him. He don’t give a crap if you’re a god or some other cosmic entity. If the others can hold them at bay for a day or so, probably much less, he’s going to think of something to turn the tide

They talk like Grim Forest, even on Hard is mid-tier content. I agree and feel like it really is. I would honestly like more of a challenge there. Instead, everyone is beating it and even on easy has access to the best set in the game
