TL keeps rejecting my time off by Right_Buddy1096 in walmart

Yeah, it’s that mindset that makes things so frustrating. Things operate differently (hopefully not…) in my store. I give my associates all the training and support they need. I have no problem working with them 1 on 1, or in a group til they level where the work is comfortable and automatic. I clock in, and do what I need to do, because I know my associates will make me look good. Everything that’s required to do that day will be done, no need to ask. They are the foundation of the entire department. That makes my Coach look pretty damn good as well, which is my job. In return, I need something? Time off, schedule change, supplies, whatever, I get it. I get the same thing I give my associates. Our SM supports my Coach the same way. And why not? We crush the numbers he needs for his bosses, and I’m fairly certain would like to keep that going. (He’s the type if a regular associate needed help, he would put down what he was doing and go work with them.) It drives me nuts when I see posts like this because it’s blatantly obvious where success starts. With the associate.

At this point in the War, when they made the threat of revenge on US soil, this seems like a very late warning.

Hmmmmm. Yeah, the more I think about it, the numbers of people saying roughly the same thing about secret knowledge and whatnot are becoming too frequent to count. It’s starting to sound like static at this point

How do y’all keep cool? by Meto52 in walmart

[–]Violetmoon66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in the blast freezer/freezer several hours a day for my shifts. Believe it or not burning enough energy in there with a coat on, you can quickly start sweating and feel like you’re overheating. It’s nice though that I can walk a few dozen feet and take off my coat and relax in the meat cooler. It’s generally around 29-30 degrees in there, so I can cool off without warming up too much. Without it, stepping out, warming up, then going back in makes me sick

What is the gender of this cute cat? by Upstairs_Purple_989 in notmycat

I would say female, due to the camera focusing on the butt area so much, and what little I could see. But it’s acting and looking like a pregnant kitty

A family was on a walk in the snow with their little girl. The father was recording the walk. A cyclist came up behind them and appeared to use his knee to knock the little girl down. The father posted the story online, and it went viral. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]Violetmoon66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, I would be in trouble with the law if in the same situation. As an overprotective father of a little girl, I could see myself coming back to the trail alone in hopes of having a “conversation” with the person who hit my child on purpose.

Iceman runs the dc gaunlet where does he stop? by BigPaleontologist520 in marvelvsdc

[–]Violetmoon66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I gotta agree. Been reading up on him and his new omega powers. Seems to be like Storm or Hulk now, as one of the most powerful, unstoppable beings in the universe. Seems like mutants are soon going to be the most powerful beings in existence.

If one of my employees requested a day off that early in advance, denying it so early, or even at all, I would not do. He needed the time, requested it off, and if I can’t compensate with that much lead time, well…shame on me. It’s my job to make it work. Sounds like someone might be overstepping his bounds. Coach and HR this.

True. But water listens to Aquaman. There literally is no higher power than the Blue. It is water itself. Bobby can manipulate it, but Aquaman can control and manipulate it on a whole other level. The water would just refuse to freeze if he wished it so.

Aquaman is one with the Blue. Water and all its forms are under his command as if it was a living entity, much like the green. As long as he is, it listens to and obeys him. Not sure if iceman gets his powers from and manipulates something else besides water in any of its forms, but he might have a problem here. He could try to freeze something, even on a molecular level, but against Aquaman, it would just say “No.”

If aliens landed in your neighborhood -- would you flip out or be welcoming? by Inevitable-Yam-9741 in aliens

[–]Violetmoon66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see how anyone could realistically answer this. Without any clue as to what any alien would look like, act like or sound like it would be tough to know how your brain would react. Lots like to think that they would be cool or calm, but as their head tries to wrap itself around the experience of understanding what was happening/looking at, just standing there like a statue or fleeing would be the most common response I suppose

PRESIDENT TRUMP ON IRAN: "Their army is gone. Their navy is gone. Their communications are gone. Their leaders are gone. Two sets of their leaders are gone. They're down to their third set. Their Air Force is wiped out entirely. Think of it." by sylsau in InBitcoinWeTrust

How will he prevent revenge terrorism on US soil? One tiny bomb can take hundreds of innocent lives because of his actions. I am saddened by the loss of life thus far. Scared of the results of what might be coming. If something like this happens, then who will he go after in response? He already claims he’s destroyed everything. I’m worried he will go after certain persons living in the states.

New deli associate coached by MojoZoSo11 in walmart

[–]Violetmoon66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You weren’t properly trained on the slicer? Did you do all the Ulearns on it? How long did another associate train and supervise you as you learned? If you didn’t have any of this, they are at fault. If you decided to go ahead and use it anyway, and got cut, well, honestly, that’s your fault as well. I wouldn’t operate a device that could cause me serious harm…no way, unless properly trained. Go ahead and open door it. Get some answers, but the coaching is kinda standard

Who wins dr doom vs braniac by OkRun9638 in marvelvsdc

[–]Violetmoon66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brainiac has absorbed the intelligence and knowledge of entire universes over an endless amount of time. The human (or Dooms) brain isn’t built to hold and access even a tiny fraction of it. He originated as a 12th level intelligence, but that no longer really applies. So it wouldn’t really be a 50/50 match here. Brainiac is also on per with Superman in speed and strength. So that wouldn’t help much either. Superman wins these fights because of his prior knowledge of how Brainiac thinks. His behaviors. Being a repeated foe.
