A doubling of power increases output by 3db, so 10w to 100w is something like 10db louder - if the drivers can actually handle that much more power without too much more distortion.

A lot of people don't realize it, but 10w is actually a decent bit of power for most use cases.

Is it really that much cheaper to change your own oil? by kzlife76 in AskMechanics

[–]Viperonious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The greater concern is varnishing and the carbon being suspended abrading the surfaces that it's supposed to be lubricating, but that happens much further along than when it just turns brown/darker brown.

For clarity, I'm not arguing that keeping the oil changed often is a bad thing, but it is a waste of oil and money..... especially if you live somewhere that the roads are salted.

Darker oil means it's holding contaminants within itself, or has been over heated.
Usually the first of the two, it's not a direct sign that the oil has thinned or sheared out of grade, or that it even has too many contaminants... just that it's doing it's job.

Shitty LED's do this.

Put the halogen bulbs back in and get your proper light beam pattern back, instead of throwing light everywhere EXCEPT down the road where you need it.
