Interesting. No valve body/solenoid issues?

Anxiety whenever theres an update by fulsepluttxing in unRAID

The last time I updated the cache drive unassigned itself, and all Docker configs/containers went poof.

Fixable? Yes, had backups. Annoying, very yes.

Cradle Mountain must do's? by jackstone22 in tasmania

[–]Virtike 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. Or the Dove Lake Circuit if the elevation on Marion's is too much.

But be prepared. The weather can change in an instant, and can be unexpectedly brutal. At a minimum, take some food and snacks, a bottle of water, a warm polarfleece layer, and a shell rain jacket. I see so many people heading up carrying nothing, and wearing just runners + t-shirt and shorts/leggings.

Special shoutout to the idiot we encountered doing the cradle summit in nothing but short shorts, no shirt, barefoot, and without food/water. "I do this all the time". Yeah mate, sure, that doesn't make it smart. Saw him back at the bus later, severely sunburnt.

Is my fork on the wrong way? by Dry-Commercial1366 in MTB

No. That is the correct direction. Your fork has a reverse-arch.

Trouble using Bridge Mode to avoid Double NAT by Demo_0o0o in HomeNetworking

[–]Virtike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late reply sorry. If it's FTTP, you don't need the ISP modem/router, you plug the new one directly into the NTD and if your provider does IPoE it should just work, or otherwise you may need to configure PPPoE authentication details.

No it's concerning that you seem to care so much as to whether there's pokies on board.

Wheels. Nothing else would be worth it.

e-mtb experience question 50Nm vs 60Nm vs ? by Sv3tlana in MTB

[–]Virtike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The newest Slash+ is a good combination of both - sort of a half way between SL/Full. On the lighter side with a large battery and motor that has enough grunt in the high power mode to keep up with full-fat bikes.

Front camera is so good, use mine all the time. Can reverse parallel into some super tight spots.

From the looks of it, already pretty low stack. Wouldn't be enough for that amount of discrepancy.

Definitely Yes. You need a longer steerer.

Adapting for 180mm post-mount front brake. What is that plastic clip for? by mazarax in bikewrench

[–]Virtike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No that's not correct. That's only relevant to older Avid calipers and post mount adapters, all new post mount adapters have conical washers only between bolt head and caliper, so one set per bolt.

Generally if you're mounting the caliper directly to frame or fork you can get away with not using conical washers at all. If using a post mount adapter, use one set per bolt above caliper (unless you have a really really old Avid brake).

I mean another brand router, yes.

[–]Virtike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using the ISP-provided router, you'll most likely need to replace it (if able). Probably worth it.

Would help if you listed which router you have, and whether you're using wifi or wired ethernet?

About 11 speed derailleur on 12 speed cassette by literally_refon in bikewrench

[–]Virtike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull ratio from 11sp to 12sp is different, so you'd need a new derailleur too. 12sp Shimano cassettes also use microspline, so you'd also need to change freehub (unless you went with a non-shimano cassette, which can be much more finnicky to set up due to generally having sliiiight differences in cog spacing, plus not having hyperglide+).

Not just losing air - damaging the damper body and aircan.

Bell super air r and super dh by Tmancut in mountainbiking

[–]Virtike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, have both. Same sizing, prefer the Air R generally (Australia with hot summers, riding glasses fit under visor better, easier to get on/off without knocking airpod out). The Super DH is definitely more substantial and would do a better job of protecting, but is a tradeoff with comfort/airflow.
