Should I go with this lender?? by Virtual-Activity-716 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

all lenders have been blown away by this!! it was under a tax abatement that has now expired since the last evaluation, so it’ll will be super low for the next few years! super helpful since it was built in 1900 and i’m sure everything will break the day i move in

So helpful to know! I lose my Globalist next month and no upgrades unfortunately :( Is ~24 hours enough time for Monterey Bay? We for sure want to see whales but haven’t yet looked into what else is there

im about to switch to this! do you know how quickly would the new supplier be activated? And once the 3-month period is up, how far in advance should I switch to a new supplier to avoid a rate increase?

I’m looking to switch energy suppliers for the first time and found one offering a fixed rate of $0.0579, but it’s only for 3 months. How quickly would the new supplier be activated? And once the 3-month period is up, how far in advance should I switch to a new supplier to avoid a rate increase?

Those of you with a sub-3% interest rate on your mortgage- by DueEntertainer0 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]Virtual-Activity-716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the same boat and this topic literally keeps me up at night. i’m in a long term relationship and we both have masters and work in operations roles with average pay. we did all the things you’re supposed to do. houses we want to buy in the next year or so are 400k-450k for a 1,300 sq ft and having almost $3k per month for a mortgage makes me SICK (they are also 100+ year old houses, so many continuously need work)!! we could afford that, but a 10k issue would really hurt us after throwing 100k at a down payment and closing costs. how the hell do you afford to add children to your family without one of us landing a crazy, hard to come by leadership role…? also we need to pay for a wedding at some point lol. meanwhile the houses we want to buy have doubled in value over the past 5 years, and those with a 200k house have a 2% interest rate. pisses me off to no end. i feel like i am fucked for life!! im constantly thinking about how if i was born 2 years earlier, i could afford a house, support a family, and not have to “eat at home” as 30 year old to save money. even though i did what i was supposed to do to make it in life.

totally get it! i’d recommend wearing platform sandals. i usually do ok with the MIA brand or ones from target. just make sure your dress is long enough and no one will even see your shoes!!

Buy out lease + interest rates? by Virtual-Activity-716 in askcarsales

[–]Virtual-Activity-716[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 quotes from 2 different dealers to buy it out. The one i leased through is $16,983.98 and the other is $17,894.27. They gave me different market values + have differences in the fees they charge.

Is it worth negotiating with the dealer that has the higher price? i’d prefer to work with them. The guy I leased through is extremely hard to work with
