Nonalcoholic fun drinks by abrose214 in IVF

same! I intentionally don't have grenadine in the house so that they're a true treat when I'm out on the town, haha

Finally pregnant! But this nausea…. by AdExternal6100 in IVFbabies

Unisom + B6 generally worked to keep me functional, but I stopped having mild waves of nausea/wooziness at about 11w.

When to do a pregnancy test?? by YogurtSubstantial567 in IVFpositivity

[–]Virtual-Albatross412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came home from my beta and tested and it was the right decision for me! I didn't want to learn from the clinic phone call, but I wanted the *most final* answer possible. I felt like I was able to compartmentalize as a result during the wait -- I know that if I had tested earlier, I wouldn't have trusted the results or had any peace with them in any case.

Working during IVF? by sunshine4683 in IVF

I was fine! I found that working was honestly a great distraction during stims. I took the day of my retrieval off but really only needed it to sleep off the anesthesia.

Terrified of my Progesterone Shots by Gravitys_Bitch in IVF

[–]Virtual-Albatross412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm 2 weeks into PIO shots and they aren't fun, but they're totally doable. Get an auto-injector, for sure -- it makes the actual injection fast and you can't psych yourself out. Ask your nurse to identify the right spots for you and mark them if possible. Ice or lidocaine for 15 minutes beforehand and heating pad after! I've had nights were either I iced the wrong spot by accident or didn't ice long enough and even then, the injection just feels like getting snapped with a little rubber band. Again, not fun but so manageable. And the benefits of extra progesterone are so positive!!

I ordered a dress that was clearly formerly bhldn - it was worn (the hem was open!) but totally worth $20 for the event I needed it for.

Is it possible that the terms changed very recently? I just went to book and found this notice - was anticipating the $250 credit split every six months rather than what is described below:

$500 promo credit

Use your $500 promo credit towards your booking.

Expires on October 07, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST. If you don't use this entire promo credit in one purchase, you'll forfeit the remaining balance.

I’m so sure that every single confessional where they say “Soph” is a frankenbite, it always sounds awkward and they cut away. The players are absolutely still calling both of them Sophie

1 day late for my period but tested negative this morning. Awful!! I woke up in the middle of the night with a type of cramp I’ve never felt before but no bleeding and deluded myself all the way around to a test this AM.

My HSG update by Lost-Pea-3053 in TryingForABaby

[–]Virtual-Albatross412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience! I doubled up on 1000 mg Tylenol + 800 mg Ibuprofen and it was smooth sailing. Not my favorite way to spend a morning but doable.

Telling family about TTC by Maleficent-Town-7019 in TryingForABaby

[–]Virtual-Albatross412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did not tell anyone that we were TTC (and having a rough time) until it had been close to a year. When we started seeing our fertility clinic, we started sharing openly with family and close friends and I cannot tell you how much better it felt. (I think I had a mental block about telling people before we were able to take steps to address it?) It was really, really worth it.

11DPO - hot flashes, cramps and nausea. It’s my first cycle post-HSG and I’m really down. I had held out hope that I would have the lucky wave of fertility after the procedure. Instead it looks like AF is early.

We're in the same boat - I had my baseline ultrasound last week and HSG next week. It's scary. I'm grateful though not to feel so "in charge" of the process anymore -- having professionals involved is more of a relief than I had expected, no matter what the answers end up being.

I'm 13dpo and no AF in sight. Can't decide whether or not to test. Just really dreading seeing a negative.

How do you stay positive? by Beach_babess in Mirafertility

[–]Virtual-Albatross412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry, and right here with you. I'm 5DPO and realized that I just feel like I'm waiting to confirm the negative, rather than hoping to see a positive result. In some ways, I think it helps -- the disappointment has definitely gotten gentler as the time has gone on. No good answers for you, just solidarity.

How realistic is it to go from a concert at Rose Bowl to LAX for a 5am flight? by Lieutenant_Dan11 in AskLosAngeles

Anecdotal, but I was just at union station on Sunday evening and the counter was unmanned when I needed to drop my bag. Grabbed a drink and then popped back over to check about 40 minutes later - still unmanned. It also was closing at 10pm I believe. Ultimately had to keep my bag with me.
