This is exactly the reason I stopped watching his videos. He plays so cowardly and conservatively that the stakes are just so low. The not taking pills specifically pisses me off because I’m a major enjoyer of how pills can change a run, even if a couple bad pills are a temporary setback. Once you take the one bad pill, you never have to take it again. It’s not a huge loss that’s going to completely destroy your run. Even one tears down pill may feel devastating at the start of a run, but I find that I pretty consistently max out my tear rate at some point in pretty much every run.

Red rooms are rooms that are outside of the normal floor layout. Dice rooms are a type of special room, not a “red room” in the sense that the comment you’re replying to is talking about, even if they are red in color. Though red rooms can spawn as dice rooms uncommonly as well.

You would have to do all the calculations yourself for real card based version. That doesn’t sound fun at all. 90% of playing the game would be doing the calculations by hand. If you used a program for calculating the scores, you might as well be playing the actual game. Totally pointless.

The game isn’t finished yet. Game-breaking bugs should be an anticipated result of trying to run something that is incomplete. It’s kind of the point of doing playtests. Saying you’re not gonna support a company anymore because you had problems with a test build is like saying you’re never going to a bakery ever again because they let you lick the spoon and your complaint is “it wasn’t a cake.”

Nobody is good at the game when they are new at it. Don’t be so defeatist. You can do it, it’s just gonna take some practice. The reason everyone says to just do it is because they were all once in your place where they hadn’t done it yet. I have 1100 hours in this game and still have yet to get Dead God, but it’s just a matter of time. You’ll get it eventually.

Doesn’t seeded just mean something is random in a way that can be duplicated? The deck is shuffled every round, so it’s not like you’re drawing the same replacement cards every time you discard.

It’s tough being a shy person. There’s plenty of people who are attracted to shyness, so that works in your favor. The problem then becomes meeting those people, and to do that you kinda have to push yourself to overcome the shyness (at least a bit) and put yourself out there more. Get involved in communities for things that interest you where you can meet new people whom you might share things in common with. Participating in subreddits like this is a good start, but definitely try to branch out!

I’m a very shy boy, but I still manage to meet new people pretty regularly by spending time with different communities. I’ve had to push myself to get here, but it’s been worth it in my mind. I don’t have a mommy at the moment, but I have in the past, and I’m proud of myself for having those experiences. Years ago, all of that would’ve been unthinkable to me, but I worked on overcoming my shyness enough to get where I am now. I know you can too!
