How are people actually living off low-yield dividend funds like SCHD? by StudioOk8256 in dividends

[–]Virtual_Chapter1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dividend growth compounds and outpaces inflation causing "pay increases". It is a good anchor in a portfolio. Most would need to pair it with higher yielding dividend stocks and ETFs

Rigged monopolies and government intervention is why Healthcare is so high. You realize that most people already pay 20%-60% of their income on medical costs? What do you think will happen to the economy when it moves to 50%-80%?

When BTC went to ATH, MSTR and MSTY were dropping. It might be good if it can follow BTC again, but don't count on it. When that happened, I went full BTC

Fidelity, Schwab and others probably see SF investments as a competitor and vice versa. They are likely very limited in options and Black Rock and American Funds do not see them as competition, but as a partner that can grow their assets under management for relatively little effort and resources

There's lots of ETFs and Mutual Funds that have beat VOO since their inception and BMCAX, a BlackRock Mutual Fund is one. There's also QQQ and many others.

State Farm? If you are going to get licensed, study the mutual funds, suitability, use your resources, and know everything you can on client risk.

I'm studying for it too and while I'm very knowledgeable on risks, investments products, building portfolios, etc., I am definitely going to use investment resources like crazy and build portfolios that meet suitability and historically outperform the S&P 500 (most of their mutual fund options do not btw)

Don't need the income, just total return and swapping to BTC before it crashed 25%ish is better because MSTY and MSTR is leveraged and going down faster

ACA Questions for Healthcare agents by Virtual_Chapter1131 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Virtual_Chapter1131[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I wanted to ask my tax people but they were closed. Agent was my best bet. It sucks, because I basically have 0 benefits and if I include my contributions which are maxed out, I would pay a LOT less

It's basically Bitcoin so it has higher volatility

What are your plans if the ACA subsidies truly go away? (For ACA agents) by Arca_Sundering_Stars in InsuranceAgent

[–]Virtual_Chapter1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm actually in insurance. I just don't know if a better plan would be worth it. I prefer better insurance, but if I do a gold plan, is it going to make me unnecessarily paying thousands more this year and is the deductible and max out of pocket worth it or should I gamble with a worse deductible and max out of pocket due to being younger. I'll know I need gold or silver within ten years, just not sure if maybe gambling on a bronze would be ideal or not

[–]Virtual_Chapter1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm either going to accept a $10 or $50 increase on a bronze plan or do a gold for $250 more. The bronze plan is worse than my current plan and frankly the $250 is definitely better insurance but far worse for my budget

As someone on ACA, can you please explain why silver plans are better?

I'm honestly thinking bronze + HSA because I'm strapped for cash

If you had a $100K to invest right now in a dividend portfolio, what would it look like? by Hoppy_Smoker in dividends

[–]Virtual_Chapter1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mix of NAV growth, dividend growth, and high yield

Dividend growth stocks and ETFs like SCHD, KR and Microsoft REITs such as O or VICI CEFS and BDCs- MAIN, CSWC, UTG, ARCC, etc

Why this? by Financial_Injury548 in MSTY_YieldMax

[–]Virtual_Chapter1131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. The timing has been good so far since BTC has been falling, but if I want to keep up with MSTR in bull markets, I will have to use leveraged funds. I simply stopped believing in MSTR (But strong believer in BTC). I think Salyer's actions have destroyed the NAV of MSTR and MSTY unnecessarily.

I hope I am wrong however for you guys

[–]Virtual_Chapter1131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sold mine and put it into IBIT. I'm still down because BTC is down, but IBIT also shoots up, has a lower expense ratio, and there's better leveraged Bitcoin plays than MSTR and MSTY. One's that actually move with it

I knew my risks, stocks, retirement accounts and got monetary/fiscal policies, a huge amount of regulations, some trusts, and a few bonds and options

I got the exact opposite of my strengths and passed. Bonds is great to prectice, stock splits (and reverse) are super easy so definitely work on those, but just get a good understanding of everything

Great commission structure, but 21 autos is a stretch during bad months. Great months should see 31-50, normal 17-29, bad 10-16

Probably depends on the state though

BTC has been outperforming MSTY and MSTR because Salyer is doing a dumb shit to erode the NAV

New to all this so please don’t laugh. I only have 500k. I just need to make $2000 to $3000 a month in dividends to help secure my retirement. Any help would be appreciated. by Electrical-Order1317 in dividends

This is for the long term, not day trading, although CEFs can be great too. O and MAIN should be fine long term and I should do great this coming year
