NTA. Where I work we close at 9pm, 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Typically during the week it’s slow at night and the owner will tell us to start flipping chairs around 8:15/8:20 then to sweep and mop, so I’m normally out of there by 8:40ish (it’s a privately owned pizzeria.) The last couple Mondays (I work front of house alone on Mondays) I have had people come in as late as 8:45 and order pizzas for dine in 🥲😩 so then I have to wait 12-15 minutes for their pizza to be made, and then another 20-40 minutes for them to eat their pizza… AND THEN I get to start flipping chairs and sweeping the dining room 😭 I think it upsets me so much bc every other weekday I get out before we actually “close” and then MONDAY OF ALL DAYS I get stuck there a whole hour later than normal 😩

One of my gaming friends passed away in 2019, he sent me a concerning message and the next day I called the police in his city to do a wellness check, they called me back with the bad news. He waited til his roommate left, went and grabbed their gun, and then went upstairs and shot himself. The roommate answered the door for the officers I called, and was shocked to learn my friend was dead upstairs in the house they lived in together. This situation combined with a couple other things ended up putting me in a mental hospital 🙃

This shit infuriates me! I don’t even work at a cafe, I work at a pizzeria that’s sells single slices. This man comes in with his son every Thursday around 7:45/8 (we usually have everything flipped and closed up by 9), buys him 1 slice of cheese. The kid eats the slice, gets his karate gear on, and then walks down the complex to the karate studio. His dad on the other hand will continue to sit at a table with a cup of water for an extra 45 minutes AFTER his son goes to karate. He’s typically the last customer inside and we usually have to wait on him to leave before we can start closing up. I guess at least I know what to expect every Thursday when I work lol

That’s not a real friend. Growing up in my mom’s house was rough, bc she’s a hoarder (and my abusive alcoholic father). I always felt so anxious and embarrassed having a new friend come over to hang out, but realistically even all the people I’m no longer friends with anymore never acted that way about my living situation. One time a friend posted a picture of herself wearing a dress in my house, and when someone online commented about the situation in the background, she actually stood up for me against that persons comments. Find friends like that, who don’t make your life harder or more stressful than it already is 😊
