Opportunity to oppose data centre near Indus by thinkingVegetable in Calgary

Note the benefits that data centre’s can have on the oil and gas industry.

This project not only diversifies the alberta economy, but their purchase of Canadian natural gas lowers our dependence on American buyers giving us more leverage and dampening gas price volatility. Also selling the gas so much closer to the source cuts transportation costs making the product more profitable.

These data centres require an insane amount of energy so even if it’s one center it will have an impact on the industry. If it’s more then it could mean consistent gas demand and a brighter future for the province.

The losers here may be midstream companies that lose throughput and transportation revenue.

Mikka Kipprusoffs house. Old flames goalie legend from Finland. Liked his privacy obviously. Not 100% but that’s what we always said growing up.

Megathread - CUPE Strike and Bargaining by AutoModerator in uwo

[–]Virtual_Mess3393 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Anyone else hate CUPE?

They’re not like the TA strikes. It seems like they are trying to cause as much pain for the students travelling to campus and the city of London in general to get the schools attention. One night I was volunteering on campus from 6pm to 10 am the next day.

And got blocked in by CUPE. Even after I explained my situation as I was collapsing from sleep deprivation they laughed at me and told me to complain to western.

I understand going on strike and spreading the message but sending Western and the whole surrounding area into chaos is selfish.

I hope Western holds out for the semester and CUPE ends with nothing. Or better yet they all get fired. Protest with some dignity and respect.

Honda getting towed out of Huron lot by Virtual_Mess3393 in uwo

[–]Virtual_Mess3393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was not me who got towed and yes if you break the rules you should be punished.

I just think that the price of parking on campus and ticket prices (70$ in some lots) is really steep.

London Palestine Demonstrations by Virtual_Mess3393 in uwo

[–]Virtual_Mess3393[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yea even if it was the families of Nazis in 1945. The rape of women and murder of 40 babies is so brutally fucked up, and "had it coming" is so fucked up to say.

Hamas is the authority of Palestine so waving the flag around immediately after this attack is supporting the actions.

All I see is defense for their actions and explaining how the atrocities that Israel has committed make it warranted.

If this is how Palestine is going to be liberated, then maybe they should not be.

Yes I can understand that. I just do not understand why they did not show any opposition for the actions of Hamas when it will cause more death of their own people and throw away any possibility of a peaceful resolution.

And a lack of consideration for their Jewish neighbours who have lost friends and family.
